Premium Member Diesel Posted July 9, 2006 Premium Member Report Share Posted July 9, 2006 Atlanta sends Lue, Al to PHilly. Philly sends AI to GS. GS sends Baron Davis/Biedrins to Atlanta. Would anybody in Atlanta be mad with: Davis/JJ/JSmoove/Shelden/Zaza as our starters.. Speedy/JChillz/Marvin/Este/Biedrins as our second team. Cwell
Just to make Warrior fans wanna kill me.How about switching Davis with Ellis.Actually they better send us ellis if we help them get Iverson.Ellis is a requirement if that happened
Premium Member Diesel Posted July 9, 2006 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted July 9, 2006 Well, I think they see Ellis as something of the future. I don't think we would have to do that. Davis makes the financials of the three way work... Plus Davis has a very good contract for us. (2 more years). So I would happily take a guy like Davis who can score by penetration, pass, and at the same time a guy who will be out of the way in 2 years. I do still like us with Speedy, but I have to recognize the quality that Davis brings. GS with AI is scary.
SwingmanCentral
I'd do that trade in a heartbeat just to get Davis(potential legal issues not withstanding). Check out Biedrins FT %, besides that his numbers look decent. .366 is the worst I've ever seen.
Premium Member Diesel Posted July 9, 2006 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted July 9, 2006 When you consider that Al is an unrestricted FA, that's a helluva deal. Davis would make our backcourt the best Backcourt in the East.
Spiral
Do you really think Philly would trade AI for just Lue & Al? I don't.

Al's options for the big-time contract he's seeking, tho, are now severely limited with CHI's new acquisition... he needs what only BK can do for him. That said, I vote "yea" on the proposal. Premium Member Diesel Posted July 9, 2006 Author Premium Member Report Share Posted July 9, 2006 Well, if there was a way to bleed off some wages, they probably would. I have been expecting Philly to strat cleaning house as best the can. Bking is talk about "It's time to change the direction", "it's time for a new face".. that leads me to believe that he wants AI gone.. that and he was plenty pissed after Ai and Webber skipped fan appre. Day last season. I would think that if Philly were to make moves, now would be the time. The moves would be Webber to NY and Ai to the best deal possible. Is that Al and Lue? I can't say for sure. cyman3
i think its fair/realistic. heres a few thoughts tho 1) We had mixed feelings on hawksquawk. but there were many who didnt like HARRINGTON + CHILDRESS for IVERSON. remember the same reasons people didnt want him in ATL? what makes u think Golden State wants to part w/ Baron Davis and Biedrins? You could make a case about Davis + Biedrins being better than Harrington + Childress. 2) im not too sure about Baron Davis. want to compare him to Iverson? At times, he seems like a top 10 candidate for MVP. but he also seems injury-prone + he's a career 40.7% fg shooter. but then again, Iverson is only at 41.7% himself. however last year was a breakout year for Iverson (currently at his max potential years) shooting 44.7% while Davis is coming off a horrible 38.9%. Iverson is more likely to have a better season next year than Davis. As for salary concerns, I think Davis only saves us $4 million or so compared to Iverson?
