Liberty Media: Buying Braves

Who is Liberty Media? I hear they are gonna be the new owners of the Braves. Who are these guys. Anyone know what we can expect?

Mini-Time Warner, used to be TCI Inc. owns cable companies and channels and a couple sports teams. Denver Avalanche I think. Chairman John Malone, known as Darth Vader of cable industry, ran TCI for 30 yrs. never paid a dividend. One of the cheapest bastards in corporate history, ran his companies like plantations.

Seriously, though. Even if we had 253 owners, you realize we'd have to each put up 2 million bucks!!! Goes to show just how beyond most of us it is to own a professional sports team.
