exodus
Their playoff drought is longer than ours. They were sky high after the Harrington trade and now.... http://www.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=620357
Admin capstone21 Posted February 1, 2007 Admin Report Share Posted February 1, 2007 They will not be successful with their current system. They play 0 defence and can't rebound. Their whole game is out running you. That will only work so much. Get to the playoffs when the game becomes halfcourt and they will get destroyed. DrReality
Quote: I don't like the way they play either and I have never liked Nelson. Nellie never made it over the hump in Dallas and he had a whole lot more talent than he does now. They will NEVER score enough points to be successful. You wonder how long the GM out there will be safe?
lunar
his problem is that he never played his draft picks, at least our draft picks play. his never got the chance to get PT. 2003 - micheal pietrius (only avg 20 mins a game for three seasons) 2004 - andreis beidris (only avg 13 mins a game for two years) 2005 - ike diogu (only avg 13 mins from last year to before he got traded. 2006 - patrick o'bryant (hasn't played this year) if he would let go off the reins and let the youngsters play he would have had a good team. with... baron and ellis at the point richardson holding down the 2 pietrius having the 3 keep murphy at the 4 (dude pulled down 10 a game) with diogu getting minutes behind him. and have beidris at the five with o'bryant spelling him. they would have a very good defensive squad. now they are running that gimmick of an offense though so i don't know where they are going. CBAreject
The trade was just overpaid bad players for overpaid bad players. The problem was he gave up a prospect (Diogu) in the deal. At least Diogu has a chance to be good. Mullin is a dumb GM who, like Zeke, thinks that trading for overpaid, selfish, no defense players is the ticket to a championship. Anyone still upset we didn't take Murphy for Harrington?
