Admin chillzatl Posted May 23, 2003 Admin Report Share Posted May 23, 2003 how can you beat that? they are playing in the eastern finals and just got the #2 pick in the draft?!?!? All that team needs is a little more offense and they just got the perfect opportunity to remedy that. So what do you think, will Dumars keep the pick or trade it for a proven talent? Honestly I think it's a perfect situation to allow them to use the pick and give the player some time to grow. They have a good team full of young players. They have the luxury of remaining a playoff team and still developing a excellent talent.
cyman3
they are going to be the best TEAM in the east next year w/ Anthony. they are 1 offensive goto guy away from being a DOMINANT EASTERN TEAM...
Admin chillzatl Posted May 23, 2003 Author Admin Report Share Posted May 23, 2003 I think they'll go with Darko. He fits their needs better. They are stocked with young talent at the 1-3. Darko gives them a versitile PF in a 7ft package. He's a definite upgrade over Cliff Robinson.
DJ_Money
They'll definately take Darko. I think they may had been leaning towards Anthony a few weeks ago, but the breakout play of Prince during the Philly series changed that. Darko gives them two dominant shot blockers and rebounders, and gives them an offensive presence on the inside. They're absolutely stacked. Billups/Hamilton/Prince/Wallace/Darko. With Atkins, Barry, Curry, Williamson, Robinson, and co. off the bench. In 2-3 years, we may see another NBA champ in the East.
SWISH9061
Anthony or Darko - you can't go wrong with either one. It's just a matter of which one is the better fit. I don't know if Dumars was responsible for this trade but I'm loving what he's done with the Pistons.
Gray Mule
If you can believe the press, which is sometimes right, then it will be Darko to the Pistons. The story has it, they were all standing there with their chin on the floor, staring in amazement, as the young man put on an exibition for them at a workout just a day or so ago. They were so impressed they would have signed him on the spot, if possible. Them that has {Pistons} gets and them that don't have {That's us} simply do without. Wonder how many more draft picks Hawks will deal away as we try to improve? Just maybe, our new owner will see the need to spend some money on the scouting department so that we will be better prepared for future drafts than we have been in the past. Top draft picks coming east! How long will it take for the east to gain enough to be on equal footing with the west? Detroit may be the next champion from the east with the addition of Darko.
