I know it's "only Bibby," but the peripherals (i.e., AS spending $) makes me very happy.
MikeWilksBooth
I'm not celebrating until the league approves, they pass their physicals and join the team
coachx
Mike Bibby for dead weight ! If it goes down the ASG and BK will have made a great trade. Thank You ASG for stepping up to the plate and spending some cash to make the Hawks a better team.

So that helps in one respect. But Shelden/BLO minutes hopefully goes to Solo now. Much better all around team now. We need a back up big in the worst way. Desperately. I wonder if P.J. Brown is still in shape...or, in decent enough shape to give us 3 months. I think I read he is wanting to play for the Bulls? He has been in talks with someone? If he's going to play, it'd be for a championship contender. I still don't understand why he's not playing for the Hornets (hometown).
DrReality
Bibby didn't seem overjoyed to be coming to Atl. Guess the shock of leaving your home outweighs where you're going?
gutz
I hope it's true! I'm not celebrating just yet.
coachx
What was Bibby's injury that make him to miss the 1st half of the season ? I remember a guy posting a Bibby trade after like his 2nd game back from imnjury and I blasted him b/c Bibby had not proved he was healthy. (Sorry ) Now that he has played 15 games at close to his old production I m very happy with the deal but: What was his injury ?
Vafan
Torn ligaments in left thumb. Non shooting thumb.
DJ_Money
Bibby had a torn ligament in his left thumb that required surgery. Not something that I'd worry about.

Some FA bigs: PJ Brown Danny Fortson Mike Sweatney? Jackie Butler Dale Davis? Don't know if any of these guys would help. Will need someone to play garbage minutes when we play big 5's. Anyone know of others?
Premium Member mrhonline Posted February 16, 2008 Premium Member Report Share Posted February 16, 2008 There will be certain players waived after the trade deadline, but getting them to Atlanta will be a tough sell.

oken
I will miss Tyronn Lue... he hit a lot of big shots for us and seemed like a fun guy... I won't miss his pounding the ball around...though... but he seemed like a good guy to have in the locker room... I hope Bibby takes to Atlanta...and fits in right away... mattlanta
So you guys think this trade will be approved by the end of today or no? I'm excited to see Bibby in a Hawks' uniform.
