TskOoOo
My God. Why is this team so freaking tough to beat? They have horsesh!t at PG and SF, their #1 overall pick is out, and their PF is sorter than toilet tissue.

atlien
Because they have a better team and they're playing at home? I was at this game, and thats basically all that needs to be said. Portland has an ideal owner/city/fanbase/arena/bench/GM/chemistry/etc. Basically THE model NBA team.
TskOoOo
Because they have a better team and they're playing at home? Yeah, you're right...The games we lose at home too are all about their home crowd being better. And I think we match up better at 3 of the 5 starting positions and Mo and Flip and ZaZa matchup up adequately with their top 3 bench players. B Roy is probably better than Joe (where has Joe been lately?)...I'll give you that
Gray Mule
My daddy taught me something I'll share with you. It just might help all of us understand what went wrong last night. "Liars can figure but figures don't lie." Examples from last night's game: The Atlanta Hawks had 8 offensive rebounds - Portland had 18. That's + 10 for Portland. Hawks attempted 78 shots - Portland 92. That's + 14 for Portland. Shooting % for the Hawks starting back court: Bibby 10-14 = 71% Joe J. 7-22 = 32 % With 10 extra offensive rebounds, 14 extra shot attempts for our opponent and Joe Johnson shooting until he got hot, which he never did = an easy victory for a worthy opponent who has a similar record to Atlanta. Note: Bibby attempted 14 shots, Making 71%. JJ attempted 22, Making 32%. Bibby hit 3 more shots with 8 less attempts. Someone needs to listen to our former announcer, The Stinger. "He's hot! Feed him and fan him until he cools off." And that, dear posters, is why the Hawks lost last night's game. Any more questions?? :no-no:

bonethugz
Someone needs to listen to our former announcer, The Stinger. "He's hot! Feed him and fan him until he cools off." :no-no: seems like we never do that, either like last night bibby, or some other nights for flip or joe or even marvin. we never do that. is it because of our coach(i'm sorry i can't help but to blame on the coach, again) or we don't have that someone who know who's hot and who's not? Admin
Portland also has a coach a million times better than ours Hmm so you believe that they have more talent (based on your "also") and a coach that's a million times better and yet they are only 2 games better than us? Somehow that doesn't make sense.
frankthetank966
Roy is awesome and Blake is solid. Aldrige is putting up just as good, if not better number than Smoove.
Plainview1981
My God. Why is this team so freaking tough to beat? They have horsesh!t at PG and SF, their #1 overall pick is out, and their PF is sorter than toilet tissue. Because they're a more talented and better team. They have a seemingly well rounded starting lineup and the Hawks have team full of holes.
HawksBalla
Its karmic payback for drafting Shelden Williams over Roy, thus banishing Roy to play in obscurity in Portland.
