Patrick Willis' comments certainly make him look like a whinner.

The reality of that game was the Falcons played aggressive and composed. The Niners, did not play aggressive on either side of the ball and were undisciplined. As bad as the team was v NE, they were even better v the 49ers. Great coaching from the whole staff.

I also have to give props to the guys that I thought were playing awful:

McClure

and the d-line

Zombie looked good. He got tot Hill a few times and affected his throws.

They did not look prepared to play, SF that is. And we definately did.

I was very surprised with how they made several comments that their defense has played much better in the earlier games. Could have fooled me. And the offense just stunk.

Not sure if we can gauge how much we improved from that game but the Bears will be another story.
