He's available. I am not too high on him with the available minutes we have and the needs (backup PG or starting C). You?

What's the point of holding the MLE. Hughes is a good defensive Gaurd. If he is healthy, he can definitely help our rotation. I would love to have him as a defensive addition if we play Cleveland in the second round. I think he has a shut down for West.

Parker gets the majority of minutes at the SG and what type of minutes do we have for Hughes? Our rotation is set in terms of major minutes in the backcourt. I just can't see it working but he could help us which is very true.

I think you have to look at our minutes as a 1-3 set. It means Joe plays more 3. It means that Hughes will get in as 2 and Craw backs up Bibby.

Also, I'm not saying that Hughes has to play 30+ minutes. He's just a 7th man. Let him play 10-12 mpg.... I think he could be effective when called upon to d up some SG.

I don't think that's enough minutes for that price. ASG is the one forking over the check. I don't know.

Well, I think we need some semblance of a defensive guard stopper. That may not be Hughes.. he is old, but somebody. Even if Rio has to earn his check, we need to get somebody in there who can play some defense.

I think I would, in 26 minutes he avg 10 4 rbs 4 assists...

Knock on wood, we have been pretty much injury free. But the shoulder thing with Craw, shows it could get ugly if we lose JJ or Craw for any amount of time.

When is the last day to sign free agents for the playoffs?

HECK YAY!! I am disliking Sunds inactivity. Initially I assumed Money was the reason we weren't making moves but after their pursuit of Big Z, it changes my whole perception that maybe we aren't that strapped for cash. If this is the case, either Sund has already decided in his mind he won't retain Woody after this season or he doesn't want this team to contend for a spot in the ECF or he is just practically clueless. I am not the "lets sign every guy out there cuz other teams are doing it" type of person but even a PORNSTAR can see the glaring holes of this team in the bench players. We have needed an upgrade in this department since the last half of the first half of the season. Ignoring Stackhouse and possibly refusing to sign hughes to an inexpensive contract has me questioning the goals of this front office.

SIGN THE MAN so we can bolster our bench!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is an easy YAY. Let be honest Teague season is basically over now. Woodson is going to count on Vets down the stretch. Getting someone like Hughes to backup Bibby and play alongside Crawford. It will take pressure off Crawford and add depth to the bench which is much needed.

You want Hughes as a backup PG and playing at the same time as Crawford? Oy...ok.

No.

iso Hughes would make me kick my cat out of the window...just no. If he was a decent SF, then yes, but a chucker Guard? ehh we have enough of them.

Let's get Mike Finley in here then, it is obvious that Teague won't play come playoff time. Craw will play the point, it would be nice to have another swing like Finley that can make open jumpshots.

that would be great...but one problem...

He plays for the Spurs, and the deadline was 2 weeks ago.

Larry's shooting % can't get that much worse with nine fingers available, right?

http://blogs.charlotte.com/inside_the_nba/2010/03/hughes-broken-finger-eliminates-him.html

"The Charlotte Bobcats have decided not to sign Larry Hughes for the rest of the season, since his broken finger would keep him out several more weeks. That, according to Bobcats general manager Rod Higgins this morning." (Charlotte Observer)
