Hawks vs Sixers

exodus

Horford looks like he is trying to go into his moves quicker tonight. Marvin seems like he is trying to get inside more. Hopefully both trends continue. The Hawks are going to need both guys to be more effective on offense during the playoffs.

It is pretty annoying seeing a 2nd round pick Georgia native clowning the Hawks. Why couldn't the Hawks pick up someone like Williams or Monta in the second round?

Second round is luck of the draw for every team besides San Antonio. The other 5 recent Philly 2nd round picks were Kyrylo Fesenko, Paccelis Morlende, Sam Clancy, Jr., Damone Brown, and Alvin Jones. For the Warriors, it's Richard Hendrix, Jermareo Davidson, Stephane Lasme, Kosta Perovic, and Chris Taft. Ivey, Salim, and Solo all were far more "productive" than any of those.

Not incidentally, Akyol and Gladyr have had pretty decent seasons over in Europe. Gladyr hurt his hand recently and will miss 1 month, but he was having a good rookie year over in the Spanish league before that. Akyol is having a great year in Italy; he’s getting lots of burn in a top-tier overseas league after spending several years stuck at the end of a bench in the lower-quality Turkish league.

UPDATE: I remembered that the Spurs had picked Blair, Dragic, Scola, and Manu in the second round. I didn't notice that in between, they picked Corey Hightower, Chris Carrawell, Bryan Bracey, Robertas Javtokas, Randy Holcomb, Sergei Karaulov, Romain Sato, Damir Markota, Giorgos Printezis, Marcus Williams, and James Gist.

Not so much when you are picking so high in the 2nd round year after year. 2005 was the perfect time to take a flier on a high schooler (Lou, Monta, Blatche) since that was the last year they could jump straight from hs.

Seems like Josh had an off night. Too bad it broke up his streak of games playing outstanding

Oh well at least he got his 8+ RPG 4+ APG 2 + BPG 1.5+ SPG

He keeps this up and he'll be in elite company for a single season.

Josh dominated the 1st quarter and then didn't shoot well. He had a few brain fart outside shots. Other than that he had a much better game than the stats show.
