Falcons Draft 2K11

I'm happy and apprehensive about the Falcons draft. I really like the aggressiveness of the Jones trade, but thought we gave up a little too much. If we had gotten a pick back from the Browns I'd probably feel better.

Dent, Rodgers, Matthews are all solid picks that should payoff. I especially hope Dent can take over for Bierman on KO and punt coverage. I think one of the major problems with Kroy last year was that he never got off the field. He's too small and too reliant upon being a high motor guy to be in as many plays as he was. By the 4th he was completely gassed.

Rodgers should provide that 3rd down back this team DESPERATELY needs to take a step forward.

Now on to FA (whenever that happens). A couple of top FA defensive players seem to be in order.

The one position that hasn't gotten much attention but needs to be addressed is Center. McClure needs to be replaced this year. Maybe the kid from Alabama we got last year can take over this year.

I don't believe he ever missed a game at Oregon St.
