Popular Post ATLscrubLove
http://www.cbssports.com/nba/blog/eye-on-basketball/22652856/paul-millsap-agrees-to-twoyear-19-million-deal-with-atlanta-hawks Millsap, a 28-year-old, 6-8 power forward played seven seasons with the Jazz, averaging 15 points, seven rebounds and three assists for Utah last season. In 2012, he posted a 21.2 PER and had a true shooting percentage (factoring threes and free throws) of 55 percent last season. Millsap is a monster inside and able to stretch the floor. He's a perfect compliment to center Al Horford. Horford, too often thought of as a power forward, has played exceptionally well at center, even better than when at power forward, over the past few years. He's learned to operate down low, and in today's small-ball NBA, there's no reason to think that strategy can't continue to work. Additionally, Millsap can work in the small forward spot with Horford at the four, if the Hawks find a center. (PossiblyOmer Asik if talks continue for a sign-and-trade with the Rockets for Josh Smith.)-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I underlined the parts you need to know. This is was a great signing... We needed another bruiser with a high BBIQ, and apparently he can even play a little SF http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCiHOpNJXnc Edited July 6, 2013 by ATLscrubLove

ATLscrubLove
My dude Scrublove coming thru in the clutch. Nice stuff bro.Tired of the hate and feeling of defeat a large amount of Hawks fans have because our super team didn't happen... Okay well it didn't happen, Ferry did everything he could to get us a star ( and he will succeed eventually ) it takes a little time to make a franchise appealing to a star... Yes this is a rebuilding process but Ferry is going to put a contender out there on the court in hopes of starting a new tradition of winning that will hopefully become attractive to stars in the near future.

Houston on paper could be the class of the west in a year. Why is it any different with them?

effjee14
Milsap is an undersized, unatheletic, below average rebounding power forward. We would have been better going after jj hickson. Milsap cannot play small forward. He's too slow and has zero play making ability. That being said, he is a tough player and hustles. He would be great on a good team. But he makes zero sense with the hawks. Him and horford on the court together is redundant.

effjee14
LinKorverMilsapHorfordAsik????????????We'd be the the phoenix suns east. And god awful on defense. Lin can't guard anyone, korver can't guard anyone, milsap can't guard small forwards, horford would hold his own but most likely get in foul trouble because he is now the only real help defender for a leaky perimeter defense, asik isn't a rim defender. Let's not even speak of the offensive flaws of this line up
