The only saving chance the Braves have is catching fire again. If that doesn't happen it will be the usual early playoff exit. They haven't won a playoff series since 2001. Cliff Lee will give us a taste on Friday what it's like hitting against an ace. Perfect preparation for playoffs. I'm guessing Fredi is done resting players now. WraithSentinel Posted September 27, 2013 Report Share Posted September 27, 2013 Hopefully Lee offer good prep for the Braves in the playoffs. It doesn't look like Hamels is pitching this series. Phillies seem to be throwing out their young pitchers this series. If the Braves can win one more game then they clinch a top-2 seed. They will get the homefield in the NLDS regardless. For me I want the Braves to use this series to get their bats going again. Even if it against less pitchers. Just the confidence of hitting will benefit these guys greatly.
