Veterans sit out preseason games a lot. I doubt it's something major. If I was a head coach I'd ask my players to fake injuries to sit out preseason games a lot lol

Damn thought. Achilles is always a lingering issue right. Why not rest him for a week?

Paul Millsap will sit out the Hawks’ final two exhibition games – tonight versus the Pacers and Wednesday at the Mavericks – due to a sore left Achilles.

The forward has been nursing the injury of late but had to leave Sunday’s exhibition against the Grizzlies late in the third quarter. He did not practice Monday and received ice and treatment.

“I think we are going to be conservative and cautious and give him the next couple days off,” coach Mike Budenholzer said. “Just let him rehab and rest and make sure he’s feeling really good going into the season.”

Budenholzer said he did not want to risk further injury to Millsap – a strain or worse. The fact that Millsap had his best game of the preseason Sunday made the coach comfortable in the decision.
