Not sure if I agree with the analysis, DeAndre has kind of been a forgotten piece of the Clippers puzzle, and I don't believe that such a quiet influence is worthy of the award. I think if it is going to a center, it almost certainly has to go to Noah or to Hibbert because of the early-season circle jerk he inspired...

Hands down it has to be Joakim Noah. He's big enough to shutdown the bigger centers in the NBA, and he's athletic enough to take SG's and SF's one on one.

More times than not it should be a center, but I love guards who are notable. I'm a Butler fan, so if I were voting I'd probably toss him one. Last I checked he led the league in most defensive plays per foul and guys like him (Leonard, George) have no problem playing 40+ minutes guarding elite scorers with success. I wouldn't be mad at Jordan or Noah. Hibbert doesn't hit the glass hard enough for me.

I agree with Noah. Great one on one defender, awesome help defender and can even go out on the perimeter. Main reason for Bulls success this year
