MaceCase
I don't think you could find a better fit. The Rockets emphasize 3s and layups, nothing else. The one thing Josh is great at and the other thing he thinks he's great at. They actually emphasize volume perimeter shooting even if it's not at a great percentage. Beyond that, Josh is the best passing forward that Dwight has had since Turkoglu, will be actually great to see if he can duplicate the hi-lo passing game he had with Horf. DJlaysitup
Josh Smith has basically set two records and may well be one of the key players in the upcoming labor negotiations. (according to Chauncey Billups (Mr. Bigshot) on espn - Smoove's contract was the biggest ever for a free agent by the Detroit Pistons. According to blog posts on Yahoo...no healthy young player has ever been simply "cut loose" for the amount of money Smoove will get for "not playing" for an NBA team. Smoove may just be a game changer for the NBA - sort of a Curt Flood in reverse. If Smoove (dismissed by the Pistons for basically being uncoachable) goes to his buddy's team - the Rockets - and suddenly BECOMES coachable - this will be a new level in un-professionalism and will surely prompt the owners to seek a way to protect themselves against this type of thing. Sure, Lebron went where he wanted, but that was within the confines of his negotiated contract. If Smoove gets his way (playing with his buddy) AND the Pistons have to pay the contract there will be some serious "behind closed doors" meetings within league offices. I would dare say that - if Smoove doesn't keep jacking up dumb shots at Houston there will be a lot of owners who will be VERY concerned.
DJlaysitup
What the hell did you just say fanatic? Josh Smith just took $27million dollars away from the Pistons organization and if he goes to the Rockets and suddenly is "coachable" because he is playing with his "buddy" there will be hell-to-pay in the next labor negotiations. GST
In Osh's first game with the Rockets, he came off the bench and took more shots than anyone else (21 to Harden's 17). He ain't changed a bit.

DrReality
What a distinction for Smoove. Such a waist of talent. As he gets older it'll get really, really ugly.
