Not even on this game tonight...

But I very seriously consider letting Horford walk and doing what Portland did this offseason next offseason regardless of what happens ROS. Atlanta's not winning a championship with a career softie as a key player anyway, sooo...

Pour in some assets into trying to move up in the draft for a guy like Denzel Valentine or Brandon Ingram.

Trade all of the older players and go young.

He's just going through the motions. It's contract year and he's not trying to get hurt. He'll bring it in the playoffs.

Laughable. Just as far away as they have always been. Need to replace 3 starters and most of the bench.

They weren't that far, last year. 60 wins and made it to ECF for the first time in franchise history without Thabo.

We are one legit player away from being a contender.

Can we stop blowing things out of proportion after every loss?

The team played like garbage tonight. The. Entire. Team. (Millsap was all-right)

Sometimes things don't go your way. Is this happening a bit too much? Yes. You could blame it on our schedule. Generally speaking we don't play well after long rests and our schedule has been nothing but back to back games after back to back games followed by long rests. It's a weak excuse, but it's there.

I understand the knee-jerk reaction of 'tanking' but we are far too close being contenders to try that yet. Tanking is easy, rebuilding is hard. If every team as good or worse than us tanked the NBA would become the most boring sport in the entire world as night in and night out the vast majority of teams tried to loose more than the other teams.

So potential finals champions get blown out by much inferior teams?  No excuse to ever get beat like that if you consider your team to be at least be good.  The Hawks will manage to make the playoffs, but will get blasted in round one.  Regardless of the opponent.

I agree they're not 'potential finals champions' or anything like that.  However, we're not a 1st round out either.  And that's a blessing and a curse.  No other team's really good enough to oust them that early considering everybody else has their own issues.  I mean, CHI needed a herculian effort from Jimi Butler to eek it out in OT vs PHI.  Short-handed or not, that's inexcusable.

No one in the East should feel confident in making it all the way to the ECF so they aren't recognizing that they all need to be making some major roster moves.  We're at the front of that list.

How would you like your crow?

Hawks will have homecourt advantage and are definitely playing Round 2.

So who's the elite team in the East outside of Cleveland? Saying the "Hawks will get blasted by anyone they face in the first round" is going against past history of them getting by any team that isn't elite only to get blasted by an elite team and saying you think this team is worse than JJ era.

*mic drop*

BTW: I'm not joking with something I have said before on another. No veteran team in the East has the personnel to be a serious threat to Cleveland in the playoffs, there are teams that have the personnel to, but they are the teams that are still in a rebuild mode.

Cleveland will sweep the Hawks, but we won't match up against them.

Chicago would win in 6.

Indiana would win in 5.

Detroit would win in 6/7.

Toronto would be a sweep.

Miami would sweep.

New York would sweep.
