Should Dwight backup Millsap?

NO.

Millsap playing with Dwight isn't the problem.  You quickly forget that it was Dwight that dominated Toronto just a few days ago, in a bigger road win.

Millsap, Howard, and Dennis are doing what they're supposed to do.  It's consistency from the wings, that are the major issue with this team.

I notice a trend in the league. Pelicans play better with AD at C, NY plays better with KP at C. They could always start Dwight against bigger teams like CLE, TOR, WAS, etc.

AD is 3 and KP 7 inches taller than Sap... They have legit C height, Sap is even undersized at the 4!

No!

But an old axium applies here:

"It's not the size of the dog in the fight BUT the size of the fight in the dog!"

Hawks win with Millsap at center last night in spite of the fact that he was

shorter than his opponent !

Sometimes you just gotta do what you've gotta do.  Our opponent had no

time to game plan about this.

The starters at C by size looked a bit like a David vs Goliath type thing but as you said.

"Sometimes you just gotta do what you've gotta do."

Big win over the Thunder tonight. The NBA has changed since Dwight was dominating the league in his prime. Small ball seems to be the way to go.

Dwight would dominate backup centers.

No.. Bad Logic.  The Team has to learn to play to everybody's strength.  Playing with Sap at C is just going back to the small ball that we are used to doing.  It's not better, it's just familiar.  We have to become more familiar with winning with Paul and Dwight on the floor together.

We strained the hell out of our team in terms of the tightened rotation, minutes and matchups against larger, more physical players.  Glad for us it worked out for the night but it is not a long-term solution as our default lineup.  It is good experience for something we can switch to under the right game circumstances.

*gasp* It's our 'death lineup'!?!
