Premium Member JayBirdHawk Posted November 20, 2023 Premium Member Report Share Posted November 20, 2023 Anyone knows how many minutes has the starting lineup (Trae, DJ, Hunter, JJ) plus OO played together in this early season and what do the nimbers look like?
Premium Member JayBirdHawk Posted November 20, 2023 Premium Member Report Share Posted November 20, 2023 Why are our two centers playing less minutes than last year (yes I know - it's early). CC - 1.2 mpg less OO - 1.0 mpg less

Last year, Clint missed 17 games during which OO presumably got a lot more minutes which artificially increased their combined MPG. Looking at his splits, OO started 18 games last year and averaged 32 mpg in those starts and played 20.5 mpg in all other games so that really makes a significant difference. Second, they are playing 47.5 minutes combined so it isn't like there are ton of center minutes available. Really more a question to me of how many minutes OO is playing at PF versus last year.
Premium Member JayBirdHawk Posted December 18, 2023 Premium Member Report Share Posted December 18, 2023 OO might be starting a few games with CC now day to day with a bone bruise. I don't like the Bey/OO pairing. It's just too small. To maximize OO as a starting Center, he needs a bigger PF next to him. That's why him at JJ worked well together. Or play him at PF with Bruno starting.
