Remember a year or so ago when he was called "dirty" by some people? maybe that's Pips angle. I think Bowen deserves it though. He routinely takes on the teams best wing player and shuts them down. That doesn't really have anything to do with duncan. especially when you're talking shooters that average 48% and only put up abuot 35% when bowen on them.

I've mostly been the big man on my own basketball teams growing up, besides during AAU. I can tell you the guards take so much pressure off the low post, if they do their job, and Bowen does his job.

I could think of names to put ahead of Bowen, but if he wins, he does deserve it.

my vote is for camby for defensive player of the year. if not him ben wallace or tayshaun prince.
