Plainview1981
The NBA finals has really become a joke. The best basketball is over with.
smithrules
Detriot will get stomped. If Shaq and wade were at a 100% this series wouldn't have gone 7 games. San Antonio will take this series in 6 or less. Detriot barely beat a team were all 5 starters were injured. They think they are so good . They should feel bad it took them that long to beat a team with so many hurt players. I hate to say it as much as i dislike ginoboli and his whining for a foul each play but he will school detriots gaurds. Bowen will shut down rip hamilton. Duncan will dominate. Plainview1981
I've never liked Detroit. I really started hating them during all the Detroit/Hawks battles in the 90's though. Plus. the Thug Detroit fans don't deserve it.
Plainview1981
Detroit will always be the enemy in my mind no matter if they win 15 games or win the title.
pathway23
I don't think it is going to be that easy for San Antonio I think Detroit can D up on them better than any other team they have played so far and Detroit also has a lot of depth like they do, don't underestimate Detroit
Plainview1981
What depth does Detroit have? Lindsey Hunter? Dude can't play. They don't have anything other than Dice off the bench. The only players Detroit shut down in this series where the guys that aren't very good anyway such as Damon Jones.

Plainview1981
Well, he was ran out of Utah... and you can see his playoff numbers here: http://www.nba.com/pistons/stats/ Must not be that good. Havent seen anything more than a 9th or 10th man in the games I've seen him play in either.

PhillyDC
Pistons-Spurs are two best teams and this is the best matchup. May go 6 or 7 games. And yes I still stand with my prediction that the Pistons will repeat.
Plainview1981
Quote: the two best teams in the league are playing in the finals. Doesn't say alot of good things for the NBA then as far as teams go. All Detroit had done is beat teams with major flaws.

" you always make points like these; teams cant help who they play, what era it is, blah, blah, all they can do is beat them and that is what detroit does. every team has flaws, it is the job of a team to expose those flaws and win. give them some credit. they are in the finals for the 2nd year in a row, they deserve respect. It doesn't matter if they can help it or not. Detroit doesn't suck... But what great team have they beaten? Just because they have had success at a time when the NBA has been mediocre doesn't mean I have to call them a great team.
Admin chillzatl Posted June 7, 2005 Admin Report Share Posted June 7, 2005 becuase they haven't beaten any great teams means absolutely nothing about them. It just means the teams they've beaten haven't been as good as them. From where I sit, the Spurs didn't beat any great teams either. But only a fool would try to say they aren't a very very good team.
