  1. One again, this is Hawk History we're talking about. A history that doesn't have much to brag to begin with. If we had a history of the Celtics, lakers, hell even the magic then I would understand this more. While his individual numbers aren't there, he's been a big part of most of our major milestones. It may be I'm a younger Hawks fan and I don't remember the other guys as well but I also think some of the salt of him leaving is affecting some of the comments in here.
  2. I agree with most of this except for the last part. Are we forgetting Horford was a big part of why we made our first, I repeat first, ever eastern conference finals? That put back game winning tip was a huge moment in Hawks history. We also have the 2nd longest consecutive playoff streak after the spurs, making the playoffs every year since he's been drafted. Now I know none of this means jack without a championship or even finals appearance, but the original question was in reference to Hawks history. Basically he's accomplished things that previous Hawks haven't.
  3. Considering what I just saw Parsons and Turner got, this isn't that bad I guess
  4. I saw that and he said that in reference to Boston being able to sign both of our right. Idk if that would be possible for us.
  5. I don't understand why fans expect players to take paycuts for teams based on nothing but loyalty. Teams and owners aren't expected to be loyal to the player. On top of that, this is their job. I don't expect most people to take a reduced salary BC they felt loyal to their employers. I wouldn't lose any respect for Baze if he left for a team that offered more. He played his ass off this year and earned it.
  6. I hope you guys realize that this is a joke referencing the deandre Jordan situation.
  7. Al should without a doubt should be considered among one of the best players in the NBA. But he's vastly underrated and unappreciated because a mix of injuries, bad coaching, other players taking shine from him, and us just being the hawks. He was already a winner coming into the nba
  8. Maybe BC the fox crew has already had a couple of games to discuss it while its the first time TNT aired one of our games since it happened.
  9. Demarre Carroll. I kinda play like him too
  10. Honestly this talking point had gotten tiresome. Playoff experience isn't a quantifiable attribute that can be exactly measured and compared. I'm not saying it's not important to have but it's not worth all the debate and attention the media gives it. For example, If there are two comparable players. One player has made the playoffs every year for 4 years but never made it past the first round. While the other has only been there once but has been to the conference finals, how do you compare their playoff experience.
  11. anyone have a gif or video of him with the smug look at the camera. I love the confidence he has and kills me with his on the court demeanor
  12. Everytime I hear about us playing as a team and being one unit, i think this game of thrones quote Robert Baratheon: Which is the bigger number, five or one? Cersei Lannister: Five. Robert Baratheon: [holds up his left fingers] Five... Robert Baratheon: [clutches his right fist] ... one. One army, a real army, united behind one leader with one purpose. Not the most exact analogy, but it fits. Instead of just a collection of players, they play as one powerful unit driven by a single purpose.
  13. Q. What is your reaction to everything that has happened? A. My thoughts are, when I got traded to the Hawks, I didn’t want to come here because all I knew was what I had heard, about bad culture and no fans and no excitement in the city. So I didn’t want to come to Atlanta. At all. I was bummed to leave Chicago. That's stood out to me, not bc it's something we didn't already know but bc I've never heard it from an actual player
  14. Funny, I was just saying this to a friend the other day.
  15. http://m.tmz.com/#Article/2014/09/10/dominique-wilkins-gunning-to-buy-atlanta-hawks DOMINIQUE WILKINS GUNNING TO BUY ATLANTA HAWKS 5 Hours Ago EXCLUSIVE Dominique Wilkins -- Gunning to Buy Atlanta Hawks With racist-ass racist Bruce Levenson on the outs ... TMZ Sports has learned NBA legend Dominique Wilkins is actively trying to become the next owner of the Atlanta Hawks. Multiple NBA sources tell us ... Dominique is "extremely interested" in becoming the next owner of the Hawks -- and has already been pre-approved for ownership by the NBA. We're told Wilkins -- who has amassed his own small fortune over the years -- has partnered up with a "very well-known businessman" who believes Wilkins would be the best person to lead the Hawks back to NBA glory. Of course, Levenson recently tendered his letter of resignation as current Hawks owner after an incredibly racist emailhe wrote back in 2012 came to light ... in which he complained that too many black people were attending his games. Wilkins played for the Hawks for 12 years during his NBA career ... and was a 9-time All Star ... and they still LOVE him in the ATL. So far, it's unclear who else is in the hunt for the team -- but ya gotta figure Wilkins is the local favorite. I don't know if his money is long enough,But I seriously hope this happens
  16. The only thing he said was he's ATL bound, to hang with Jeff, nothing about playing here. The only thing he said was he's ATL bound, to hang with Jeff, nothing about playing here.

  19. i dont really know much about the prospects but could Solomon Alabi be the center we need
  20. im pretty sure when a team loses a series this bad its the whole teams fault
  21. while this is true a majority of our losses didn't come from this they come from having no offensive sets making no adjustments defensively when we are getting killed by quick PGs and crashing in the 4th Q because we decide to just jack up jump shots we were good enough to win 53 games on talent alone what this team has is a mental problem not rly a personnel problem minus 1 or 2 key players
  22. I see it this way The Hawks got a C on a test they should have got an A+ on yea they passed I'm relieved its over with but we shouldn't be extremely happy about it the jury is still out on woody for me, he and the team need to show me an A+ effort in the next round
  23. do u think we could ever get Joe, Josh, Jamal, Marvin, and Al to score 20 each all in one game
