It's a shame he's coming off a rough injury. In his prime I though he was a better player than Dennis, but his play style gets him injured

Al Horford was and is a great player, no need to trash him. He ain't Malone (not that I would know I guess, never watched the guy), but Horford really is a borderline elite player in terms of VALUE thanks to the little things he does. He doesn't need the ball, can pass, screen, PnR and PnP at a high level while defending at a high level. And for what it's worth Karl Malone is a creepy piece of shit and deserves no respect.

I believe in his physical talent. He's fluid enough to be an ok defender and shooter. So I can only assume it's a mental thing, cuz he's soft. Which ain't a good look. I'd still take a flyer on him though.

My take: if he tones down his shot selection a bit and makes a couple of those open 3s he looks WAY better. His handle has seemed fine to me, not sure what everyone else is seeing there. His passing is solid. He looks like a PIECE OF THE PUZZLE to me IF the shot falls. Not a superstar probably, but solid.

I'd take a lot of those guys for the right deal. I like that we're waiting things out, now we gotta balance taking on bad money versus value contracts. The only dude on that list I'd be willing to spend some big cash on theoretically is Capela but then again Cs are easy to come by.

I hate to say it, but Prince seems a little soft on defense. He has moments of good energy and footwork, but I don't think he'll ever be a force there, not enough grit.

Just posted this in another thread. Have no idea what Pierce's schemes will look like, but he seems like an easy coach to root for. I loved Bud for a lot of reasons, but he was a little boring lol.

Main thing I got from this is I think I like that Lloyd Pierce fella. Seems like a good dude.

Depends on what happens with K. Love. He's become very underrated. I'm not sure they're a playoff team because the rest of that roster is awful, but if they hold onto K. Love till at least the deadline as the reports say they will, and they've got all those other vets too, I think there's a good shot that pick converts. The West is a problem, though, if LBJ joins the Lakers that's the Nuggets and Lakers clawing at the playoffs.

It is very much a reason to be concerned. However, it does seem ownership was willing to "compromise" when Schlenk was low on Doncic, so that's a positive I guess

Thanks to the extra picks we have, I wouldn't stress so much about tanking. We'll finish in the lottery, but I'd feel better about being the 6th or 7th worst team if we've got all those other picks too. Just play the young guys and see what happens (hint: it won't be pretty, but it'll be exciting). I'd try to filter all of our cap and vets into future picks if we can manage it.

Take on some salary for as many future picks as we can, try and finagle Dennis and Dedmob into picks too, even if it means taking on some bad money. None of the FAs interest me all that much. Capela maybe

As long as Schlenk has final say, I'm ok with it. I like an owner with some investment in the team as long as his ego stays out of the way. Having said that, these reports and the Dwight and Collins stuff from a while back is a little troubling.
