Sefolosha can't stay healthy long-term. Even when he was in OKC, he couldn't stay healthy. It's great Bazemore got some playoff experience guarding LeBron, Pierce, etc. I don't think SF will be as big of an issue since they'll have more healthy bodies and the fact they got Splitter.
Go to Centennial Park.
Ride the streetcar - it's free and takes you a little bit around the city.
Eat at Hudson Grille - they got some cool Hawks stuff in there.
Be sure to check out Groupon, they usually have stuff you can do downtown cheaper.
That would be great. I wouldn't regret it. If anything Splitter might not be in ATL long term anyways with the way centers are getting paid these days. If anything, that would be great insurance. DMC is not worth $15 million UNLESS the Hawks would have won the title this past year but that didn't happen.
He's ATL best bet at PG for now. I'd just love for him to play aggressive like Westbrook consistently instead of going back and forth being passive. The talent is there. Oh yeah work on shot clock awareness. Hawks got him at a bargain. I could imagine he's going to command 20+ mil when his deal is up if the Hawks want to keep him.
I'd say the Pacers is the closest thing they have to a rival. They went all out 2013-14 playoffs with the marketing for the Pacers/Hawks series. It sucks that Indy couldn't win out as 8th seed this past year to face the Hawks. This would have been the year the Hawks would have finally beat them.
Right! Hopefully the Hawks lock up Splitter during the season. With the way centers were paid this offseason, it's going to be hard to justify paying nearly $20+ mil for 3 bigs. I know DAL could use him.
He got potential. I have to see him get some real minutes in the NBA but I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't play much this season since Bud don't give rookies a lot of playing time.
Just looking up Shaq, he got his last big pay day around Dwight's age now then started to ring chase (BOS) so I guess he may take that final pay day with HOU and just sign with ATL 4-5 years from now so I guess my original idea isn't possible.
I'd just say the Hawks are finally versatile like the Warriors and Heat, able to play big and small at a high level instead of past years with the Hawks where you got Jason Collins at center.
That was nice by DeMarre. I don't blame him for leaving. He put his all into this past season plus played hurt during the playoffs whereas some players probably would have sat out after getting hurt just to get the big payday, he played through it.
I wish him the best in TOR. He's going to have some big expectations thanks to that contract.
True. A healthy Hawks team would have gave the Cavs problems. Carroll and Millsap were playing banged up and Thabo and Korver were missed. Scott got to go. Just like how Bud played Dennis over Lou during the 2013-14, it's time to get rid of Scott now.
If the Hawks had to pick somebody to keep, pay Carroll whatever it takes.
