  1. I think Ferry made the right move. With the NBA cap going up, this can only help the Hawks. I think they can keep Horford too but he needs way more than $12 million a year. If Carroll and/or Millsap were to leave since the Hawks got a great system, they can just find somebody else to plug into the system.
  2. I don't think that would be enough for the Lakers. LA already got a starting caliber PG on their roster (Clarkson). I think the Hawks would have to offer Teague, Horford and the 2015 1st.
  3. Like Carroll, Bazemore didn't play much on his previous teams but was known for his defense. Both players weren't the greatest shooters. However, when they joined the Hawks they played more than they did before and improved their jump shots. With Korver out for injury for the next couple of months and training camp and preseason in coming months, could Bazemore like Carroll make that leap over the summer to solidify himself as a starter going into contract year? Thoughts?
  4. Like last year's playoff series, Lou's lack of defense would be another liability for the Hawks.
  5. No. I think he was giving him props. Plenty have turned down playing with LeBron, look at his first time in CLE which is probably the reason he left in the first place.
  6. Yeah true. Haynes seems like the type to write stuff just to get clicks.
  7. There's no way Hawks could afford that roster. Tobias and Monroe are going to get 10+ mil annually.
  8. Horford would be a FA. Tavares should be on the roster so a Teague (expiring)/Korver (expiring)/Carroll (extended)/Millsap (extended)/Tavares starting lineup for the 2016-17 season could be interesting. Seeing how Gobert performed with the Jazz, maybe ATL could get the same from Tavares.
  9. Second round exit. I figured with the return of Horford atleast would push them to the second round but they'd lose to CLE/CHI.
  10. I figured he was hurt. He was never the same after that injury. Props to him for never complaining and putting the team first.
  11. I don't know if he isn't being aggressive enough or CLE was more prepared for him for Game 4.
  12. I'd just say first get healthy. Healthy Thabo, Korver, Millsap is going to be huge for the Hawks. They need to draft a 3 and D SF. Thabo can't stay healthy and isn't getting any younger. Bring over Patterson and Tavares. Let Jenkins go. Find out ways to get Korver more involved in the offense since the playoffs exposed his predictability. Sign Alexis Ajinca. Give Muscula the backup PF. Trade Scott to Philly. Match any deal for Carroll and Millsap.
  13. Unless the new Hawks ownership is cheap or wants to rebuild, they have no reason not to pay him the money he wants. Millsap played hurt. He's going to bounce back next season.

    Mike Scott

Scott got to go. Muscula been in ATL less than Scott and is already a better player. I wish there was a non-guaranteed contract that could be traded for him so Muscula can hold down the backup PF spot.
  15. I'd draft a tall SG that can shoot the 3 and play D, Korver and Thabo aren't getting any younger and would be great mentors to the guard. I'd say they're in the position to bring the player along slowly, no team can say they got 4 All-Stars and one of the best SFs in the league. I'd be shocked if Tavares isn't on the Hawks roster next season. I think he'll replace Brand who will probably retire after this season. I think it's a good chance to keep both. If they leave, the new team wouldn't be good as ATL if they stayed. GS is set at SF and PF. I think so. Everybody loves winners and the fact Bud coached the East in the All-Star and the Hawks had 4 All-Stars, I'm sure recruiting wouldn't be an issue like it's been a past.
  16. Good news for Carroll.
  17. I agree. Scott is probably the most athletic player on the team but I don't understand why he doesn't use it on defense. He should be doing chasedown blocks off the backboard like LeBron and leading the team in rebounds.
  18. If he was younger, I could see him getting 15 mil. I think he's an 8 mil a year player like Ariza. Anything more I'd let him go, they should go after Jae Crowder/draft a SF.
  19. Bud is only a 2nd year head coach, he's going to make mistakes .
  20. I wouldn't play Scott. His defense is awful.
  21. I think Millsap is playing hurt. The way that shoulder injury looked, it seems like it's worse than what's being reported. I commend him for his toughness and ATL need to pay him before somebody else will.
  22. I'd say Horford. He's too quick for Perkins and Mozgov and if LeBron guards him, that leaves the Cavs in a bad position.
  23. I don't see how the media can say the Hawks have no stars. I see 3 if they were playing in a bigger market - Teague (look at the 2009 Draft), Millsap (I think when healthy Millsap is better than every PF in the league except AD) and Horford (probably the best jump shooting center in the league plus he can play D).
