exodus
75 pts on 40% The Hawks have good shooters but they aren't showing it. They really need to get something from Marvin. I don't expect 15 ppg yet but he ought to be able to hit a few open jumpers or take it to the basket a couple of time. Seems like he is scared just to be on the floor. mudderfudder77
10 assists for the whole team? That number needs to go way up if they want to start winning games...
Dnice
The Bizaro Hawks looks like they had a bunch of assists the other night. What else is new?

Admin chillzatl Posted November 28, 2005 Admin Report Share Posted November 28, 2005 you're completely out of your mind if you think enough of it is coaching to make that big of a difference.

I think it has more to do with them getting nothing from Lue, Salim, and Marvin.

Lue could have thrown a few in as well, but I think we are more dependent on Slim throwing in 10-20 from the bench.
Gray Mule
When do you get an assist? When you make the pass and the pass reciever scores - - right away - - Right?? What if you make the pass and your teammate misses the shot? No assist, right? Hawks need to hit more shots and the assists will be there. Hawks had their chances this afternoon. They simply went cold late in the third quarter - - Couldn't hit a bull in the butt with a bull fiddle, standing behind the bull. This sleepwalk mode lasted until their opponent did away with the nice lead that they had gained. From then on, it was only a matter of time until something bad would happen - - again. Hawks had a questionable call against them - - Again, late in the game. That wasn't when they lost - It was when they went so cold and couldn't score. The coach can't put the ball in the goal for them. He might call time and chew on them or change players but the players themselves must do the work necessary to win these close games - - And they didn't. Final_quest
That being said, Smooth's jumper was really going for him on Sunday...that was nice. Watch out if he can get those consistently to fall. Early in the game Al's turn around was falling too. Problem to me was lack of offensive identity in the 4th quarter. Salim not playing well was a big part of that. He should be a big part of our 4th quarter offense. Great teams always seem to have a guy who hits jumpers in the 4th as well as a superstar with go to moves. We don't really have either one of those.
