Merry Christmas everyone....for xmas wife bought 4 tickets to hawks-celtics game on january 10th..it will be a ride up from gainesville for us..

and beleive it or not, my first hawks game at the age of 33 and have been a fan since birth.

Anybody know any good places to have some drinks prior to and after the game? Any good sports bars within walking distance so we don't have to drive?

And last but not least what hotels in that area are not expensive but livable for a few guys to crash...

is phillips near the georgia dome?

not sure which hotel would be your best deal as I live around here.

You can enter Philips from the CNN center, and there are places to eat/drink there. You can go to jocks'n'gills which is overpriced but convenient, or you can have cheap beers ($6 for 32 oz.) in the fast food places in the center. And yes it is near the dome.
