I have criticized Salim a lot but the way he was lighting it up late last season there is no way i would be looking to dump him now.

On a team lacking for outside shooters, there's clearly a spot for Salim here.

It's up to him to show the effort necessary to stay on the floor and out of the doghouse.

I am still hoping to see a Nick Van Excel-light emerge. I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do in these last 2 pre-season games in a PG role.

Anyone who can't see that we need some shooting off the bench doesn't know our team very well. Salim is the perfect sniper off the bench who can score in flurries when he's on his game. He is not a starter for sure, but he is exactly the kind of offensive force we need off the pine.

Salim can score 15-20 points in a quarter and a half when he's got it going. The perfect offensive role player for the Hawks. Woody needs to wise up and realize what Salim is...and what he isn't. He will never win defensive player of the year but against second units he can get OFF.

He can be our version of the microwave.

6'3" shooters are out there like flys. Besides, Salim hasn't been hitting much lately. Adieu Salim.

We should take Salim's roster spot and give it to Dee Brown. At least he's healthy.

Nice constructive analysis. Anyone who has watched the kid at all knows he can carry you for stretches. He's a streak shooter who will thrive if given consistent minutes.

Do you watch any Hawks basketball? How much has he played this preseason? Man, sometimes I read your stuff and just say, HUH?
