Why does it have to be a center or power forward?

You could move JJ to sf and pick a sg.

If you could pick one person off any roster, I'd take Barbosa. Joe is big and strong enough to move to the 3. It would allow us to flourish with the uptempo game and give us another 3 point shooter. He could also slide to the point when Bibby comes out.

I can't think of a big who could come in and contribute the way Barbosa could unless perhaps you consider Greg Oden. Since he didn't play last year, I guess he would fit under the rules, but he obviously would have started had he not gotten hurt.

So either of those for me.

That's not even counting former first overall picks like Bargnan or Kwame.

As it means to move Smith to SF I say we pick a SF and leave Smith at PF and Horford at C.

If the question is wich is the right move, that is to trade Smith for a starting C.
