Dragitoff
I don't think Bass was ever a realistic target for the Hawks
coachx
I am thinking Aaron Gray on the cheap. All Pitt kids are tough. I wish they would target Gooden or Wilcox but they probably want the same money ZaZa got. Edited July 10, 2009 by coachx
WraithSentinel
Is Theo a good option? I would imagine we could get him with the LLE.
Admin
http://www.nba.com/2009/news/features/davi.../10/magic.bass/ Well that really stinks! I'm really worried that we might be done now since signing Marvin will bring us pretty close to the luxury tax (if 65 million is accurate). HalfHawk
Damn... I really had my hopes up to get this guy! He's a grade A prospect and could've been a great back up for Al or Smoove.
DrReality
I don't think he is the one we need . . . . but I bet he lights us up when we play them.
Ruckus
Orlando signs Bass for 4 years/18 mill. Now that my friends is bargain shopping. I would have loved to get him for that.
Ruckus
If we could have locked him and Zaza for under 5 mill. a year we would be getting alot of big production for little money.
EazyRoc
What we need is someone who is going to protect the basket. We don't have that type of player yet. Doesn't have to be some super defensive specialist, but someone who just isn't going to allow guards and smaller forwards to drive the lane at will. gsuteke
Bass is a PF - we really need a Big BIG
DeacKillsaDevil
There currently is no backup at the PF spot. We need a PF

Its too bad shot blockers are not available but we could get a big bruiser like Gray and take a flier on Siler. Wilcox is probably the closest thing to a "shot blocker" that we could hope for. Jamall MaGlore (Sp ?) would gladly knock you on your *ss before he gives up a layup. I want some "Nasty" on this team. I think it would make a significant differece if we had an enforcer on our team, someone to be their in the lane when opponents drive . . . . . other than Smoove to swat their shots. BusBoyIsBack
Losing Gortat and getting Bass is a lateral move at best for Orlando Our bench is still better than their bench.
