Premium Member BrazilianHawk Posted October 13, 2010 Premium Member Report Share Posted October 13, 2010 Bibby should be our 3rd string SG, nothing more. Give the PG reigns to JJJ (not a typo, not Joe Johnson, JAMAL-JEFF-JORDAN) and let them young ones develop their game. They're our future. Jamal goes and Bibby, unfortunately, IS DONE. Moderators lethalweapon3 Posted October 13, 2010 Moderators Report Share Posted October 13, 2010 I sense a Player Development Director job is in the Bibster's immediate future. ~lw3
OGRat
I sense a Player Development Director job is in the Bibster's immediate future. ~lw3 That's Van Exel. I have to believe Bibby is biding his time until the regular season. He'll never again be what he once was, but he can play a role. He may be the only one with experience in a similar system having played in a motion type system out in Sacramento. I'll reserve judgement until the games start counting.
Moderators lethalweapon3 Posted October 13, 2010 Moderators Report Share Posted October 13, 2010 That's Van Exel. As for Bibby, not necessarily this team. ~lw3
frankthetank966
TRADE HIM and Marvin and get a star and one either position. End of story
Moderators AHF Posted October 14, 2010 Moderators Report Share Posted October 14, 2010 TRADE HIM and Marvin and get a star and one either position. End of story If you were running the other teams in the league, what star would you trade for Bibby and Marvin?
spotatl
The hawks might be able to get Elton brand for Bibby and Marvin.
Moderators AHF Posted October 14, 2010 Moderators Report Share Posted October 14, 2010 The hawks might be able to get Elton brand for Bibby and Marvin. Agreed. I just don't think Elton is close to a star at this point. I think Philly would cut him if his contract wasn't guaranteed.

We could get Elton Brand for Elton John right now. Philly fans are so done with him. ~lw3

What he always has been. at 20 minutes a game with less ball responsibility he can still nail the jumper. If Jordan can play/develop the point, Marvin & Teague may fetch a strong prize. spotatl
Oh- I agree. I don't want any part of Elton Brand. But thats the only kind of "star" that you could get for Bibby and Marvin.
Premium Member Atlantaholic Posted October 14, 2010 Premium Member Report Share Posted October 14, 2010 The only thing keeping Bibby in the league is our three year contract. The guy reached the end a year and a half ago.
tremor
At this point of his career Mike is overpaid but there are still some situations in which he can be used. If switching defense is gone he shouldn't be starting, that's for sure.
