Your team does have some decent depth at each position but i see them as a Denver nuggets type team....very good team that will be competitive just not good enough to win anything

Question....can we start making trades or dropping guys to pick up other players or something....kind of a waiver wire type thing.

The Youth Movement

PG: Steph Curry, Darren Collison

SG: Kevin Martin, Rudy Fernandez

SF: Nic Batum, Shane Battier, Gordon Hayward

PF: A'mare Stoudemire, David Lee, Boris Diaw

C: DeAndre Jordan, Chris Kaman

Coach: Scott Brooks

- When it comes to scoring... we've got it. When it comes to defense... we've got it. Energy, Rebounding, Youthful exuberance, veteran leadership... we've got it.

Curry and Martin give us deadeye shooters, with Collison and Fernandez providing depth off of the bench. Nic Batum gives us a defensive presence with massive wingspan to go along with A'mare and David Lee on the frontcourt. We'll start Jordan over Kaman at the 5 but they're obviously interchangeable.

What we may lack in top-flight "name recognition" talent, we overflow in the "team/glue" stlye of player, and a HC in Scott Brooks that can get the best out of his youth.

I see us as almost a San Antonio type of team...

For Devon.....

Devon/Colin

PG: Steph Curry / Darren Collison

SG: Kevin Martin / Rudy Fernandez / Boris Diaw

SF: Nicolas Batum / Shane Battier / Gordon Hayward

PF: A'mare Stoudemire / David Lee

C: DeAndre Jordan / Chris Kaman / Andres Biendrins

HC: Scott Brooks

Here's what I like about your team...

All of your guards.

You will definitely have to move Diaw to C.

As you know, Amare was a bit of a disappointment. It was shown that he doesn't play well in a traditional half court set. Still, David Lee is a stud and would allow you to run Amare off the bench.

Like you, I had hopes on Batum making a big stride this year, but he maintained what he has been for the last three years and his FG% is still pretty ridiculous. I think you got a big time steal with Gordon Hayward and he could prolly beat out the starter at Sf.

I like Curry but not at the PG. Before he was injured, I still figured him a bit of an OG. However, he shoots like his Daddy. I like that. What i really like is Collison off the bench. Since Curry was injured, I think Collison does wonders for your team. Defense and General ship that's what you want in a PG.

With Collison on the court, Jordan becomes a Better C. It's shown that Jordan needs somebody to feed him and that is another reason why Curry is better suited to play off guard. Since you guys are in the mold of GS anyway, you can do something like a minime backcourt.

Scotty Brooks coaching is going to have you doing lots of pick and rolls. More reason for Amare to come off the bench and for Lee to start.

capstone21

Deron Williams / Eric Maynor

Stephen Jackson / Jason Richardson / Corey Brewer

Danny Granger / Andrei Kirilenko

Pau Gasol / Carl Landry / Brandon Bass

Marcin Gortat / Anderson Varejao / Udonis Haslem

Coach : Greg Popovich

This team is well put together.

I like the bigs here... and the coach... but let's start with the bigs... Gortat has proven that he's more than servicable. To back him up with Varejao and Haslem just aint fair. That's the toughest C trio in the league probably... and I have Dwight...

You put that in with Gasol. The only problem there is the same problem that LA has... Gasol is a low post guy and by his own admission, he doesn't know how to go get his points. Fortunately, you have the coach of the year.

Your only weak point IMO is SG. You have good SGs but they are not guys that will go out every night and get your 20. Still even at age 33 with many years playing, Jackson will still get your 10 or so. Richardson can come in and get you 10 or so. That's 20 from the position. Popp is going to play through the big men anyway. Just understand, Gasol is no Tim Duncan. He can't sit high post all game and run the offense... Well, maybe he could, but he's more comfortable in the box.

Then there's Granger. Granger coming out was supposed to be the best post up Sf in the history of basketball IMO. However, over the years, he has developed what Smoove got... A love for the three point shot. This year, he decreased a little but his team play was much better. The coach did a good job in using him in spots. He's a legit Sf but I still think he can be the best post up Sf in the game.

So the strength of this team is Deron making guys better than they are. You have a good set of outside shooters in Jackson and Granger. You have good low post guys in Gasol and Gortat. You will miss people in the midrange... maybe you can get a slasher too.

In My humble opinion.. the top 6... of this year (no order) are...

I think cap would be a tough out this year...ahf is who I'm looking at tho, I think his pickup of Greg Monroe was a hell of a pick, I'm jealous lol. I still think I may have one of the better defensive teams with lebron and gay on the wings and ibaka and dalembert down low. If ibaka keeps improving his offense I like my team moving forward.

PG: Chauncey Billups/Jose Calderon

SG: Lebron James/Jason Terry/Brandon Rush

SF: Rudy Gay/Carlos Delfino/Austin Daye

PF: Serge Ibaka/Luis Scola

C: Samuel Dalembert/Darko Milicic/Nazr Mohammed

Coach: Larry Brown

My problem starts with your team at PG and ends at C.

Let's say you do go with Calderon as PG and Billups as his injured BU... OK.

You have this problem.... You leave all the shooting to Gay and Lebron. Your team is going to be a low scoring team. Poor Jason Terry is rarely going to get off the bench... if he plays PG... your offense will suffer.

Same with Rush.

My thinking is that if you get a young big time player like Lebron, you don't follow up with a good player like Terry behind him if you have needs elsewhere.

Here's the hindsight..

When you picked Billups and Terry, there were a whole host of good frontcourt players on the board...

Nelson, Stuckey, Teague, Harris, Collison, Miller, and Augustin.

It's a shame that AHF found Jason Kidd in the 13th round.

Your strength no doubt is Lebron and the PF position. I just think you will need more scoring.

Is there anybody on my team who wasn't injured for most of the season?

I really liked your team but, damn, you are right about the injuries for sure. Everybody's team would have taken some hits but your squad was really unlucky. Still a good base for the future.

I tried for a balance roster that played both offense and defense and could potentially have great chemistry. Getting Pops was probably my best pickup. SG is my weakness and I didn't realize that Jax and Richardson would have such a big drop off this year. I would have gone in a different direction for that position if I had my time back.I agree that AHF has the strongest teamDiesel...I appreciate the props but you did vote my team as the worst team in the league :)

I don't see us being able to do much more than track these teams but we should discuss whether people are interested in doing this again this summer. It was a fun exercise last year but clearly requires some time to do it.

Honestly, I must have not liked Gortat as a starter at the time. Your team has shown their worth over the season though.

I really don't see lebron as a position and just more of a player. The guy can do whatever is required of him, the lack of point guard that u speak of is made up by him....he makes other guys better, period. Jose is a pretty good passer, shooter, but lacks a bit in the defense department but i think we can definitely do a hell of a job hiding him with the rest of the defense we have. I honestly went at this team with defense in mind so being low scoring wouldn't bother me much. Jet wouldn't have to do much point guard play but he would just be asked to do the same thing he does now for Dallas....come in and make a difference, rather that be scoring or just making a big play at the right time.

I would crown sultanofatl as the 2011-12 champion............even without a backup center I think they would win it all.Wish I could re-do my vote.Nash / FeltonIggy / J. Jones / T. WilliamsDurant / PietrusK. Martin / Blair / A. RandolphBynumJust the thought of Nash paired with the best scorer in the NBA (Durant) and a legitimate post presence (Bynum) with Iggy and Martin running the breaks is juts flat out scary.Jones is your shooting specialist off the bench.Martin and Blair are the blue collar guys doing the dirty work and as a tandem can backup the center spot for 15 minutes a night.Felton is a top tier backup PG to spell Nash through the season.
