Hawks offered for CP3

I don't understand why Houston would want Gasol in that rumored deal? Seems like they'd be taking a giant step backwards. Giving up Scola and Martin for Gasol, especially Gasol coming off a bad year?

Also, why would NY trade Amare for Paul when they could just sign him outright next off-season? Seems like if they were just patient, they'd be much better off.

Paul, Melo, A'mare. Seems like a really good "Big-3" of their own to build around.

Folks the Hawks have had every chance in the world to get CP3. They cant make a decision on anything. The ownership group is now more screwed up than it ever has been. The Hornets want Teague, Smoove for Paul and the management of the Hawks simply wont pull the trigger, its plain and simple.

I don't know if anyone here has been following MLB free agency but Albert Pujols signed with the Angels even though they weren't even mentioned as contenders until today. Just saying, anything can happen. Should be fun to see all the signings tomorrow; the ones reported, and the ones no one knew about.

If the Hawks can pull off a trade for Paul I'll be over the moon. If they don't, I still think this team has great potential.

Regardless if we could get Paul or not. This ownership group does not strive for greatness. We all can see this is a flawed roster and moves have to be made. Yet, all we do year in and year out is sign vet min. that's it. So that's going to get us to the next level? ASG wonders why no one comes to the games. I want this team to win as bad as all fans. But, at sometime you are going to have to pull the trigger on something instead of standing around and watching.

New Orleans has never been in any real discussion with ATL cause Chris Paul doesnt want to be here long term and we are not Chris Paul away from a championship ..THERE IS ONLY 1 PLAYER OUT THERE that is worth renting for 1 year to try and go after a chip and that is DWIGHT HOWARD

Do I honestly think Hawks have any shot of getting him 0% but he is the 1 piece you try and risk bringing here and making a run

you either make a run for CHIP or start rebuilding process...you either trade Horford /Teague and a 1st round pick for Dwight Howard for 1 season and go to finals and make a run and entice him to stay in his hometown or your REBUILD

you start selling pieces off and build around Horford and Teague and everyone else goes

I agree with that theory of yours Swift, one thing that is a must this team needs to be shaken up. Either by rebuilding or making a huge trade. Staying with basically the same roster is going to get us no where.
