If no D12 or CP3....No worries (I guess) we could get this instead:

Pg- go after curry / if that don't happen retain Teague. Reason: curry is the next best free agent pg after Paul and then Teague is the 3rd best free agent point in my book.Sg-go after Evans Reason: I believe Evans can still be a good player he just need a new team he can grow on. It's almost too easy in my opinion to get him I'm sure he wants to leave SAC town. Only problem with Evans is his attitude....sheeeesh can you imagine him and smith on the same team------> DIVASSf-go after iggy....if that fails here's is where you do your all to retain smith.Reason: I think iggy is a way better than smith even at his older age. Smith is a risk at this point, if no superstars come here I don't see him tighting up us know. Our Bigs-These two positions are a little weird. I say go after peckovic the timberwolves center and move AL to pf but if that doesn't happen go after Jj hickson and switch him and horford around when needed at pf and center. At the end of the day we are going to have a good team in my opinion. I know ferry can get guys like Evans and hickson here. My thing is this.....do you really want to see just a playoff team again? Or do you want contenders?Yeah hawk fans seeing a good team next year is 90 percent a sure thing. I'm sure most like this lineup of:Pg-curry/TeagueSg-Evans/Lou Sf-iggy/Korver or smith/korverPf-horford/Ivan or hickson/ivanC-perokovic <---wolves center/ zaza or horford/Zaza Yeah I could roll with that too but I see no championship in any team outside of having legit stars. We always Seattle for average! Not sure if I'm going to be ultra excited about ANY combination of players that make us good but not great.

Stephen Curry Gets 4 Year Extension From Warriors In other words, try again. Teague is our best option for a PG in the offseason. 4 yr/$28 mil. I agree with going after Tyreke and Iggy though. Would be happy with Bynum too. C - Bynum @ $12 mil PF - Horf @ $12 mil SF - Iggy @ $11 mil SG - Evans @ 7 mil PG - Teague @ 7 mil $49 mil for the starters, then just fill the bench with one other FA, then Lou, Jenks, Ivan, Korver, Scott, 1st round picks, and Pachulia. Le'go.

I think we should go after Thaddeus Young (via trade), Shawn Livingston (2-3 year deal), Al Jefferson, Paul Milsap. JJ Hickson. Nick Young, Tyrek Evans. I also like Evan Turner.

Teague

Evans or Young

Turner or Thad Young

Horford or Milsap

Hickson/Jefferson or Horford

Bench

Lou, Livingston

That team would challenge for the number one seed in the East. Turner and Young for Smoove would definitely be a win win.

come on man that isnt a number 1 seed team or a challenge to the number 1 seed....

If we dont get a star this year I think ferry pulls a mark cuban and just sign a bunch of 1 year deals and try again next year when there is a much more attractive free agency class.

when he first came here he said if he doesnt get the guys that he wants that he wont sign a just anyone and he will just keep cap space and try again next year.

Come on now! You know that team will not challenge the heat, Knicks, pacers, maybe not even the nets. This called being ok with average

Bynum has degenerative arthritic knees. He will probably follow Brandon Roy's way. Besides, he is immature, has terrible attitude and doesn't care. I was watching his interview after injury. He seemed sooo relaxed. I get more upset when I overcook my steak... Someone will go after him this summer, I hope it is not us.

Can't blame him some, feel like a guy like that has been on a constant benzos drip since he was 20.

I don't see the Hawks going after Evans. With both Jenkins and Lou under contract for the next few years, I think Ferry will role with them as our shooting guards and concentrate the cap space in other areas.

I don't know that Jenkins is a 36 mpg kind of player. He can only play 1 position. I love his shooting and I'm glad Ferry picked him.

What I like about Evans is he is 6'6'' with a 6'9.5'' wingspan. He give you minutes at PG / SG / and SF. He is not a specialist like J?enkins but he is very versatile.

We know Ferry is definitely going after the big players in free agency and if he's unsuccessful this off season, I think he'll try again next off season. I could be wrong, but I think Evans will probably be looking for the type of money that Ferry isn't willing to pay for a player of his status. I like Evans, but I just don't see Ferry dishing out significant long term money on a shooting guard when he's already got two under contract who will both likely get significant minutes next year. If Evans were a franchise changing player, I could see it, but he's not.
