Is it time to bring him over?

SG appears to be getting more comfortable with his jumper and may have improved defensively, too, although he seems to hack a ton and isn't much of a passer. The 6'5" Ukranian is back after left knee surgery (missed about 2 months after a meniscus tear in December), playing behind Dominican Republic National Team hopeful James Feldeine with Mad-Croc Fuenlabrada in suburban Madrid, Spain. The ACB League concludes for his team in a couple weeks.

He hits age 25 in October, and will play for the Ukraine men's team, coached by Mike Fratello, in Eurobasket 2013 in September.

Is Danny Ferry a "Sergiy backa" now, or will he keep the Rick Sund draftee overseas, in deference to Johnny Jenkins with Lou Williams already on the depth chart? I could see him as a DeShawn replacement candidate.

If we get Dwight I can see him coming over as a bench player. It isn't a bad idea to surround Dwight with as many shooters as possible. Not sure how much we'd pay Sergiy though and how it impacts the cap situation. May be trying to sign Smoove too so their may not be room.

If he makes our main roster this year, would he would play SG for us, the position we have like 4 guys already at? Hopefully if we bring him in, we might make a trade with Lou or something (especially if we bring in Jennings).

Can he still play in eurobasket 2014 if he's in summer league?

Tourney's not until September, so he's good for the next week or so. He'd miss out on the start of training camp if it comes to that.

Sergiy Gladyr going to Summer League with the Atlanta HawksBy Kris Willis  @Kris_Willis on Jul 10 2013, 7:49p 14http://www.peachtreehoops.com/2013/7/10/4512432/2013-vegas-summer-league-sergiy-gladyr-atlanta-hawksJayne Kamin-Oncea-US PRESSWIRELeague sources tell Peachtree Hoops that 2009 second round draft pick Sergiy Gladyr will be a part of the Atlanta Hawks summer league entry in Las Vegas. The rest of the Atlanta roster has still not been announced. The Atlanta Hawks begin play in the 2013 Vegas Summer League on Friday but have still not announced a roster. League sources tell Peachtree Hoops that 2009 second round pick Sergiy Gladyr will be a part of the team.Gladyr has spent the last several seasons playing in Spain and most recently with Mad-Croc Fuenlabrada where he averaged 9.4 points while making 42 percent of his attempts from beyond-the-arc. Gladyr was a member of the Hawks' summer league entry in 2010.So with no official roster available here is our best guess at what the team might look like on Friday. In addition to Gladyr expect 2012 draft picks John Jenkins and Mike Scott to suit up. Shelvin Mack are also likely along with Jared Cunningham and 2013 second round pick Mike Muscala.Dennis Schröder tweeted from his official account that he had signed his contract with the Hawks. Atlanta has yet to announce that signing and there are likely still some FIBA issues that must be cleared up before he and fellow first round pick Lucas Nogueira take the court.Other reported additions to the Hawks summer league team are Memphis forward Adonis Thomas and Murray State forward Ed Daniel. Also rumored to be a part of the team is former Missouri State standout Kyle Weems who spent last season playing in Germany.
