DJ, to continually go back and make an issue out of what a player did in his first year when no one is arguing that his first year was particularly exceptional seems to be avoiding my earlier point... ie, essentially, that when you look back on the all-rookie teams five years out, it's pretty clear that that alone is not a particularly reliable measure for predicting a given player's future success.

An awful lot of people bashing Randle in here now. The guy is gonna be a monster in the NBA. A guy with the desire to bang in the middle with that kind of motor is rare. He actually turned his game waaaaay down to fit in with what Kentucky wanted him to do. He was actually a much better perimeter/face up player than he showed at UK. It's weird because was criticized for handling the ball and shooting from the perimeter in high school and then was criticized for playing exclusively in the post in college. The kid has inside/outside game and is a relentless banger and rebounder.

It's

Vonleh and Exum more likely to bust than be better than Randle. Smart has a chance to be Tyreke on offense and a game changer on defense.

Disagree with this. Vonleh's fundamentals are way too strong to bust. No way Smart is anything like Tyreke in any way. Smart is more Wade like. Randle needs to work on his defense or he could be in trouble. I do like the fact that Randle is a lefty though, could help in the low post. I actually like all the lefties in this draft, Hood and Young as well.
