frosgrim
Well the team scraped out a 2 run game and the Marlins looked like last year's Braves: bases loaded no outs, and end up scoring no runs.
Gray Mule
At least this year's team didn't die, waiting for that elusive three run homer. With a roster of 25, they have 6 that was on last year's roster. Quiet a change. The entire thought process has changed. Braves teams of old were known for their great pitching. Their great defense. Brave fans this season are hopeful of some decent pitching, some very good defense and lots of speed and daring on the base paths. They are not in the midst of transition. They are already there! We all need a scorecard to keep up and find out who is who. The first three batters up in the first game were new to the club. We had two who were invited to spring training, not on the list, yet they made the final cut. One started at second base and the other, a former Brave, is a very good utility player. GO BRAVES !! PS - And their AAA team will be great this year!!
bobrathbun4pres
Nice win the other day. I'll admit it is kind of neat watching these new faces figuring out how good/bad they are and what they can do.
DrReality
This kind of ball is exciting if they can get some pitching to go with it. They are clearly in rebuild after the trade they made.
WraithSentinel
For me this offense will be much more exciting to watch. It will also be more reliable. I thought the way the team was constructive offensively the last several years was one of the worst I have ever seen for any team. Too many boom or bust type of at bats. frosgrim
Well last night was unexpected. A 7 run first followed by another 5 runs over the course of the game. I actually thought it would be a blow-out game but in favor of the Marlins. Given it is only the first 2 games of the year, but I do like the approach the hitters are taking at the plate. They are aggressive, but they are getting wood on the ball. We have an entire season to go so that approach may not last, but it is nice to see right now.
