farmboy7
Interested to see how Petteway performs. Been following Huskers all my life. Can be a little out of control sometimes and moody. However, he was clutch for the Huskers. Could always find a way to score when a basket was desperately needed. Has legit NBA range from 3. Maybe a little lacking in athleticism and all out speed, but I do think he could be a real spark off the bench. Hope he plays well enough to land somewhere if not the hawks. Haven't had a husker to root for in the league since Lue and Strickland.

Premium Member sturt Posted June 27, 2015 Premium Member Report Share Posted June 27, 2015 Kane is definitely not a PG... look for someone else like maybe the PG from Bama who played for us last summer(?).
NBASupes
Moser is a player to keep an eye on. He might be one of the best players in Summer League. He was very good for Boston last year. http://www.boston.com/sports/basketball/celtics/extras/celtics_blog/2014/09/celtics_summer_league_standout_mike_moser_signs_overseas.html

Premium Member sturt Posted June 27, 2015 Premium Member Report Share Posted June 27, 2015 True. Word is that we worked out Cook, plus also McConnell, and maybe Hickey(?).

Premium Member sturt Posted June 27, 2015 Premium Member Report Share Posted June 27, 2015 Brandon Ashley (Arizona) in, Edy Taveras out? That's what's being reported if you're monitoring the Hawks tweet feed.
GrimeyKidd
THJ Might as well play. To get acclimated with a coach. Dennis is in germany. Muscala could play. Not sure how many returning could play
Premium Member sturt Posted June 27, 2015 Premium Member Report Share Posted June 27, 2015 I could be mistaken, but I think you only get 2 years of summer league, but maybe there are some certain conditions where they allow more(?).
Static
I really hope THJ plays
Guest
I could be mistaken, but I think you only get 2 years of summer league, but maybe there are some certain conditions where they allow more(?). A summer league team can't have more than 4 veterans, so he could play but then you can have only 3 others. Funny enough, Muscala doesn't count as a veteran because he played in the D-League for a portion of last season.
JRid
I heard on the radio the other day that the Hawks will have to sign Edy to a contract in order for him to play in our summer league. They said Edy might not do that because he might can make more money staying where he is. I think it was CViv that said it. I don't know how all of that works so hoping somebody here can fill me in. Is he right about that?

Is he right about that? No. He's wrong and trying to sound smart. There's a difference between a "Summer Contract" and your typical NBA Player Contact. The Summer one only covers Summer League and guess what Edy signed one of those last year to play in our Summer League team. Edy might refuse a Summer Contract in order to leverage a Player Contact, but you don't HAVE to sign Edy for an NBA contract for him to play summer league.
