And if you look at the history of the #3 pick, it is worse than the #1 but a #$*#& ton better than the #7 pick or #10 pick or whatever you want to do.

It is simple.  You can find individual examples of MVPs taken later in the top 15 (like #15 Steve Nash) or who were the best players or finals MVPs on championship teams (like #10 PP or #13 Kobe Bryant) but the odds drop slot by slot and pick by pick as you move down.

I say... it's time for a #3 vs. #7 vs. #10  Smackdown Battle (last 20 years)

My guess, it's a wash.   Hell, Steph Curry was a #7 pick.   Paul George was a #10 pick.   Those picks can't be too bad... Off the top, it's hard to call a #3 pick ... OK.. James Harden and Bradley Beal and Melo and Christian Laettner.

I trust our scouting department but I really want Doncic or Bagley. Could get behind Porter as well. If we fall out of the top 5 it'll be a real test of Schlenk's meddle.

See and that's the thing. I personally like Ayton the most followed by Doncic.

There wasn't nor will there ever be a decision which we all are going to agree with. I think the best idea is to give whoever he picks enough time to develop before smashing Schlenk

And give Schlenk a high enough pick where he is still on the board.
