So guess second and third rate teams excite you and your boy hotlanta. Cap room is important teams will trade for it, we can easily get our hands on some solid players just by offering cap room.

Q.Richardson and K-Mart are a big improvement from Ratliff or Big Dog. The fact is the Hawks want to rebuild over two years by drafting HIGH instead of a 6, 7 or 8 pick. I would rather have a Okafor, Howard or Smith and a top 3 pick in 05 than any of the hack we have had. Sometimes you have to tak a risk if you want to succeed no one ever got anywhere playing it safe. The simple fact that we show that we are willing to go after the Kobes and T-Macs of the world Free agents will take us seriously. Atlanta isnt a bad sports town it has bad teams. More atheletes live in Atlanta than any other city, especially African American atheletes. THe Hawks create the right enviroment and just like Orlando 2 years ago before the G.Hill fiasco everybody will be plotting their exodus to Atlanta.

Cap room got them nothing. Why is it that you think Atlanta is more intriguing to free agents than Utah. Money is money. Free agents nowadays don't want to take a team on their shoulders and take it from being a loser to being a winner. They want a ready made winner. We are nothing approximating a ready made winner. That's what draws free agents in this era BHD. Not money alone.

The only reason Utah was left empty handed in free agency is because Salt Lake City just happens to be the least appealing city in the US to the black basketball player.

Atlanta has the City of Atlanta to offer.

Plus, Kobe Bryant's sole motivation for wanting to leave LA is his desire to take a team on his shoulders and do what Jordan did.

I want you to name the one team that built itself from something other than the DRAFT.

San Antonio -- David Robinson, Sean Elliott Tim Duncan & Parker all drafted San Antonio lost Robinson for one season lost out for the season and drafted Duncan and built a champ.

L.A. Lakers -- Magic Johnson, James Worthy, signed Shaq and drafted Kobe = championships

Celtics picked up Bird high and haven't drafted that high since and behold they haven't won since.

Chicago -- drafted Jordan, Pippen and Grant; even Kukocs

Houston -- Drafted the Dream enough said.

Utah -- Drafted Karl Malone and John Stockton

The list goes on most superstars are drafted the others signed i.e. Shaq, T-Mac and Deke but it is rare for a GM to be as stupid as your girlfriend Pete Babcockand trade away a superstar for trash. GMs aren't stupid enough to get duped time in and out. No team has ever gotten its superstars through trades .

what I consider a top-tier free agent. He's about a half step above JT, which to me ain't sayin' all that much. 6 assists a game this year. JT's almost that good.

of the Free Agents that were available this past summer.

There was Miller, Arenas, JKidd, Maggette, Brand, Odom, Payton, Malone, Etc.

Denver had a shot at all of them. Denver turned down Arenas. JKidd decided to stay with NJ because they were getting Morning. Those Clippers were restricted FAs and LAC was willing (and did) match for all of them. Payton/Malone took lesser contracts for a chance to ride Shaq/Kobe to a title. Still, Denver got the best FAs available. And as it stands, the guys that they picked up this summer are making huge contributions.

The other thing is that Kiki Showed that just because you have Money don't mean that you have to overpay guys. Kiki didn't take Arenas and it's being shown that Arenas wasn't worth the money.

Now Denver will be a big player in the FA game again this year and they still have a playoff team.
