i was searching all over the satellite for the game and couldnt find it.

i couldve checked fox/upn (noncable/satellite) channels on TV but didnt bother assumin it would be boring like the last game.

however, Schaub's performance from what im hearing was simply AMAZING.

i saw the highlights on ESPN. thats all.

im not even gonna try lookin for a copy of the game. preseason, dude! not the superbowl... haha

unless ur part of the Schaub family, i dont see why ud want a copy of the game... lol

Lol I don't want to see it simpy for Schaub. Thats just one of the reasons. I like to grade the players out. I wanted to see the Dangelo hall and moss matchup. I hear the rookie had a big td catch. I hear both of the lines struggled. I just have to verify for myself because many falcons fans are pessimist.

Schaud looked good some. He looked like the better QB last

night be honest. I don't watch College football much, but

it looks like he was more comfortable in the west coast

offense than Vick. Did Matt play west coast offense

with the college he was with? I think Vick will be fine

in this offense but it will take time. His passes were

just off... But alot of that had to do with the Falcons

POOR offensive line. They really were unable to protect

either QB on a consistant basis. Dunn just broke a few..

He would have two or three 2 yard runs then break a big

one.

Hall got beat by Randy Moss deep. Moss just ran away from

Hall. It was a clear mis match. Also, the Falcons got

burned on a fake reverse. It didn't seem like the defensive

line played all that bad... Jenkins looked good out there! I

think he will be a big threat for the Falcons in the

future.

I would expect the Falcons to struggle on offense early

in the season.... But I think Vick will adapt. I predict

that Vick will be a top 5 QB in about 2 seasons.

Shaub was taking the short yardage pass every time, where vick would sit back and wait for something bigger that never came. I don't think it was all vick though. I think his receivers weren't trying to get open for the short pass either.

plus you have to keep it in perspective. most of Shaubs time in the game, especially the majority of the run that put us on top, was against the other teams 2nd string. Still though, he looks to be the best backup we've had in years.

Well I agree. I just felt that Shaub understands this

offense better at this point and time. As I said, I think

Vick will adapt. It will just take some time. It might not

fully even happen THIS season. But it will work it's self

out. That offensive line stinks though. From what I seen,

it wasn't that good at protecting either QB.

instead of letting himself get beat down back there he would dump the ball off fast for the short play.

What about those two sacks late in the game though? What was that guys name? That was awesome. He basically walked up on the guy and took him down...then did it again. Granted it's bench scrubs on both sides. But it's those kinds of things that inspire guys to keep working hard and really improve.

I didn't watch much of the second half. I didn't watch

much after the Jenkins catch. Actually, I only watch

bits and pieces after half time. Even though I'm a Titans

fan it could be exciting to see the Falcons offense when

it gets going. THe Falcons are deep with WR's this year

with Price/Finneran/Jekins and who knows what Edwards can

give? Personally though I think the Falcons need to look

for Crumpler more and more.

To answer your question yes Schaub played in the west coast offense at Virginia for 4 years so he should be more comfortable with it. Thats part of the reason the Falcons drafted him. I'm just glad we finally got a backup now maybe the defenses won't concentrate so much on trying to hurt VicK.
