  1. It's not uncommon for a team to play with a renewed spirit and focus after a coaching change. And we've had about the softest schedule imaginable to capitalize on that. I do think Nate is a better option than LP for the simple fact that the players seem to respect him more, but I'm not quite sold on the strategic difference yet.
  2. Gallo already fills the LMA role for us.
  3. These comebacks are exciting, but we really shouldn't be down double digits to these teams.
  4. I don’t think anyone has ever accused Jackson of being a brilliant coach. I’m not sure what he would do better than LP. And if Schlenk was interested he probably could have just hired him to begin with.
  5. That would have been such a brutal loss to go into the break on. Instead we all get to feel good about the team for at least a week. What a relief.
  6. With every tough loss lately I kept expecting this headline. I never judged him harshly for his “failures” with a super young, tanking roster, but this season was the real test and he unfortunately came up short. Sucks about COVID and the injuries, but we’ve blown too many very winnable games. Hopefully this gives the team a jolt.
  7. This win would have felt so much better if we didn't choke away an easy one the night before. But at least it was a nice response to what could have been a backbreaking loss. Gallo just nailing catch-and-shoot 3's was the dream we signed up for.
  8. If Trae goes into year 7 having not even played in a playoff game then how could we complain about him not getting respect? But another thing working against LaVine is that the Bulls are negative with him on the floor and positive with him off. That never looks good.
  9. We looked like the most unskilled and uncoordinated team in the world outside of that late surge. But it was a bizarre game for both sides with all of the strips and deflections. 14 steals has to be at least near a franchise record I would think.
  10. The Hawks are 7-0 this season when Trae scores over 35. Obviously people are going to read too much into this game. Trae made shots down the stretch and we won. We still tried damn hard to give it away.
  11. At this point I'd be willing to see what Dunn can do for us just running in straight lines.
  12. I don't think Schlenk has done anything to give anyone a reason to believe that he'd trade JC for a first. If he's seeking a first in addition to a player that can help us make the playoffs then I could buy that, as much as I'd hate to lose JC.
  13. That has absolutely no relevance to what I posted.
  14. We'd be 3-23 right now if Trae's supporting cast was worse this season. Don't get crazy.
  15. LP has to officially be on the hot seat now. Alternating blowout losses with blown 4th quarter leads must have Ressler fuming. That said, I think the people who believe a coaching change would magically solve our problems would be in for a rude awakening if it actually happened.
  16. Mays was going against the backup backups. But I agree that he should get a chance at real minutes.
  17. He has taken 18 whole shots and made 9 of them. I don't know how you're trying doom his entire career based on that. He has played 7 games in his career, he's been injured for the majority of the time since he's been drafted, and he has had barely any practice. He's not really part of the offense yet. Give it time.
  18. "Missed on OO" after 6 or 7 games lol. Obviously too early to give up on Cam as well.
  19. Looking at the replay again, it looks like the forearm came on the way down after the initial contact. Yeah, that's never, ever getting called.
  20. Yeah, it was embarrassing. I think he made 1 shot all half, he got cooked by Brunson over and over again, and he pitched a fit after getting ragdolled on a screen. It was a bad look, foul or not. I didn't see a forearm get him in the face.
  21. Why can't we have nice things? And Trae had to further embarrass himself at the end after a rough half. At least we don't have to see THJ or Clarkson anymore this season.
  22. Marvin was picked 2nd over a Hall of Famer that many people were clamoring for. Cam was picked 10th over Tyler Herro, PJ Washington, and Cam Johnson. Very different situations. Hunter was the pick we swung for the fences on and Cam was the high ceiling project that fell into our laps. He still only has 76 games under his belt and he still hasn't had a real off-season.
  23. It’s definitely not a good stat for a single game, but at the same time, if a guy is +11 in a game where almost everyone else is negative then it’s hard to criticize the decision to play him 26 minutes.
  24. Solo also had the best +/- for either team.
