  1. I get having doubts about a player, but it’s weird not to celebrate him when he does something remarkable. I’m guessing you would have scoffed at the idea of Trae putting up those numbers and a game-winner in that environment.
  2. That was the moment we've been waiting for since we drafted Trae. I've called him out for struggling in big games, but you couldn't have asked for a better playoff debut. Shoutout to Bogi for continuing to be a clutch shooting god. Also Sweet Lou saved us from falling out of it.
  3. A lot of these teams have dealt with injuries and COVID, as well as being veteran teams that just don’t care that much about the regular season. Comparing regular season win percentages isn’t that useful.
  4. I was kind of frustrated for most of that game because it felt like another failed opportunity to put our stamp on things, but they turned it on at the end.
  5. ^ That checks out from my memory. We could score fine in most situations, but once it was a final possession to tie/win the game we would struggle to even get off a shot, much less a good one. Part of that was not having a true go-to guy, though. When Teague got the chance he was just as likely to dribble out the clock. And our big clutch playoff moment was Dennis getting easily blocked at the rim and Horford cleaning up the mess.
  6. We don’t own the Knicks tiebreaker but Miami does. So I believe three-way tie goes to the division winner (us).
  7. They can’t fumble the momentum again like they did vs Detroit. Put the Pacers out of their misery.
  8. I would be more concerned facing a hot Boston team. I feel like NY has been playing over their heads for a while now and they're the one team maybe even more inexperienced than we are. Would get more enjoyment from knocking them out as well. Their fans have been out of control lately (not that I really blame them).
  9. I really think you’re overestimating the impact an unsigned bum like Henson or Vonleh would have over Okongwu.
  10. Trae beat Luka to 30, 40, and 50 points (which Luka still hasn't done). 10 and 15 assists as well. If you really care about that kind of thing.
  11. I’m not getting my hopes up on Hunter. If we have everyone except Cam and Hunter good to go for the playoffs then we can make some noise. Then next season they can hopefully give us a lift.
  12. I would expect Capela to do better in a more competitive game. He started out strong, but getting blown out like that when you knew from the jump you didn't have the horses to compete is demoralizing. But, yeah, Embiid is a freak. It was wild seeing OO next to him during FTs.
  13. It’s a good time to get Dunn back if he does indeed play. His presence should provide a spark even if he doesn’t do a whole lot tonight.
  14. 5 months later and they still haven't allowed a basket
  15. I think there is some merit to what you say and Trae very well could flop in the playoffs, but your feelings on Curry pretty much prove you're not the most rational person on the subject matter.
  16. I wasn’t too bothered about whether or not Sac was going to let us have Bogi, but he’s quickly becoming my favorite player. He reminds me of Joe with how steady he is on the perimeter. Just total faith that he’s going to make a good play. But he plays with a lot more emotion/personality than Joe which is fun.
  17. He’s not on the injury report. Hope he can build on last night’s strong defensive effort.
  18. I hope to see something special from Trae tonight. It feels like he usually comes up short in these marquee matchups. You could argue that this is the biggest game of his career so far.
  19. Yeah it seemed like half the board was talking about replacing him the day he was hired. I always preached taking a wait and see approach, which I maintain was fair, but I was probably a bit naive on that front.
  20. Not really. Signing Bogi to a 4-year deal was maybe more aggressive than expected, but otherwise this rebuild played out exactly how many of us predicted. We acquired draft picks and set ourselves up to have a boat load of cap space. It was plain as day what the strategy was from the beginning.
  21. KB consistently said we were doomed to miss the playoffs for the next 5+ years because of Schlenk’s decision to tank. If we make them this season then it will have only been 3.
  22. "Make it 4 in a row! Let's get it!" By far the best call of Nique's career.
  23. Rondo wasn’t good enough to be sad about, but I do feel like he brought more value (to our young team) on and off the court than Lou. We’ll see. Lou has been a thorn in our sides since we traded him so hopefully he can repay some of that. Assuming he actually plays for us.
  24. Lonzo would be a nice fit if his shooting keeps up. He can play next to Trae and run point when Trae rests. I would be sad to trade Cam before he really gets a chance to develop, though. Plus I don’t think it makes sense from a money perspective.
