  1. Not a fan, but if we got him for the 7-8 M type of deal I wouldn't be mad about it. I think he got a lot of credit for those overachieving Bulls teams, when in reality it was just Tom Thibodeau getting the team to play great team defense, as is evidenced by the way the team played after Deng was traded.
  2. Need one in case of injuries
  3. When Hibbert is in there they are the best defensive team in the league. They did a great job of buckling down in key stretches against us, but hey, it's why they were the 1 seed to begin with.
  4. Hard to take over games when you are the smallest player on the floor. Outside of Isiah Thomas and a young healthy Drose, who could do it consistently?. Chris Paul can't do it in LA and he's the best PG in the game by far right now. We need a wing player who can create his own offense, that much is obvious.
  5. Joe Johnson is probably the biggest guy at his position outside of Lebron. What other 240 LBs small forwards even out there? (Don't say Diaw). Joe weighs more than some PFs in the game.
  6. Small sample size is the problem... Compare that to Rudy Gay of the three-four years prior, and it isn't pretty.
  7. We hit PLENTY of clutch shots throughout that series. Including plenty in game 6 to get the lead we got. Eventually Indiana realized they didn't need to even attempt to guard Antić and collapsed inside. If Antić hadn't been the worst player in the entire playoffs we had this series in the bag. Most of our players stepped up and had big moments, we just didn't have enough talent to put it away.
  8. If Antić could have made just a couple of shots here and there we would have won that series. We had the #1 seed on the ropes playing 4/5 on offense and were a couple of minutes away from a stunning upset. Feel terribly disappointed because I really felt we had it, but I can't blame this undermanned team for not finding the firepower to put it away at the end. If we had Horford this series would have been ours by game 5.
  9. What people fail to realize about Asik is that, despite his size is that he isn't good. We don't even know if Horford will be healthy next season. The reason we gave Indiana trouble was exactly because of our ability to stretch the floor with our frontcourt, people are screaming for size and we could do with some depth to shore up that particular weakness for sure. But the best teams in the NBA today do NOT have a traditional center in their starting lineup and it is in no way a characteristic which guarantees any sort of success. I'd rather have two great PFs that can stretch the floor than Hoford next to a backup C who is forced to play starter minutes. Parsons is a good young offensive player, I haven't seen him play enough to judge his defense however. Is he that much better than Carrol overall? He has a career PER of 15 which is not impressive at all. I feel we give away more talent on this deal than we get back, and in contrast to a lot of posters on this site I strongly feel that talent>>>size.
  10. Yeah, enjoying seeing my team loose on purpose is why i became a fan in the first place!
  11. pretty sure it's easier for opposing players to ignore the crowd if they are all wearing the same color jersey. Looks cool on TV but not sure it creates any sort of advantage whatsoever. As long as the "vibe" in the arena is right, like it was in game three (once everyone showed up) I'm happy.
  12. Schröder was just not prepared for the NBA this year IMO. Hopefully a full year of practicing with the team and the steady minutes he got late on in the year will help him out for next season. Barring injury there is little chance Schröder gets to see the floor outside of garbage time these playoffs. I still like his potential to be a good backup PG in this league, but the kid is not ready yet.
  13. If I was anywhere near ATL you'd need an army to keep me from going to that game.
  14. Once they got there, they were not bad IMO. I think we will see a better crowd next game
  15. People say we have no chance at getting FAs to come to Atlanta, but I'll tell you what. If we make the ECF we'll have a better chance than if we had finished in last place.
  16. I don't get the attitude comment. Don't understand what's wrong with fire, it's not like he is pouting and talking back at coaches, he is showing passion. Is there something I'm missing?
  17. I'd take either Afflalo or Lance... Ariza a distant third option.
  18. Personally, I don't understand the need for Teague supporters to call out the posters who were criticizing Teague when he was slumping. The criticism is warranted IMO. No excuse for Teague to play like Derrick Rose for weeks at a time and then like a 40 year old Mike Bibby the next few weeks. Clearly the deficiencies of Teague are not talent or physically related, but mental, which at this level when you are getting paid millions and have the best coaches in the world supporting you, shouldn't be the issue. Still, at his age, he is still relatively young for a PG so I believe he is worth some more patience. At least one more season to see if he can take the leap to stardom and if he can't by all means start looking for alternatives.
  19. I think Lance got overrated early on in the year when he was playing over his head and posting triple doubles (he has not had one in a loooong while). I do think he is a very good player, definitely not a star though. To me he is another Iguodala from a production stand point. He would be a very, very nice role player on this team and would make us better on the defensive end while also making us, if not more efficient, at least more exciting on the offensive end. I would love to have him around 9 million but it will probably take more than that to get him as some team will offer him a crazy contract like Iguodala got. Jeff, Lance, DMC, with Horford and Millsap, Korver as a 6th man, and hopefully an Asik or Mozgov type of pickup and we definitely have enough talent to challenge in the weak eastern conference. Maybe it would be worth overpaying for him.
  20. Obviously, if Teague had been playing all season long the way he has played in April there wouldn't be any haters. I think if we see this level of play sustained through the playoffs, there won't be anyone left on the Teague sucks bandwagon. When he plays with fury he is special, no denying it.
  21. Too bad he didn't make that shot! You know it's an epic move when the opposing crowd is oohing and ahhing
  22. It's the weakest eastern conference, perhaps of all time. The number 1 seed, Indiana, would be bottom seed if they played in the west. Last time the eastern conference was this week was the season after Jordan retired. Guess who made it to the finals that year? The #8 seed.
  23. But it would be more fun to rebuild. That way we can sit through 4 years of not making the playoffs and then get back to getting bumped in the second round for 4-5 years and then rebuild again!
  24. Can't imagine Indiana wants to play us after last game lol
  25. Teague is always the X-factor. That's why his inconsistencies are so frustrating.
