  1. Green is not a steal at 13 million. He hasn't really proven anything meaningful except being a free agent at the right time. With that said, he would be really good in this system. I'm hoping 9-10 was the too much to cover price for JG considering the Grizzlies salary restraints.
  2. Atlanta Hawk Pickers coming soon to: Wtf, Ahahaha.
  3. Overall they are 1a to 1b compared to each other. Rubio is a 37.5% career field goal shooter. Minny had to be tired of all those bricks. Jeffrey is probably the better fit to that roster.
  4. Thoughts on Jamychal Green. He's restricted but I can't imagine Memphis adding more significant payroll.
  5. Denver has no real bad contracts. Faried at 12.9 and 13.7 for two years is the closest. They traded for Lyles and drafted Lydon so Faried my be phased out. If Sap signs on at 32-33 million and they trade just Faried they'll be somewhere around 80 million committed. Let us say add on an expiring Barton and they would be at 76.5 million with roughly another 24 million to try and sign a second impact free agent. You could also add an Arthur with his dead salary and they would 30 million plus.
  6. The one and only Master Splitter. But I think they take a run for Dedmon.
  7. Collins has fairly considerable upside. Most people don't realize he's young. The top 7 selected have an avg. age of 19.7 years old. Collins is 19.8 years old. With that, nobody knows how mature their games and bodies will be 4-5 years from now. For all we know, JC could fill out to 6-10 250 with a good mid range game. His strength is a high motor and finishing around the paint. For whatever reason in my eyes, he projects similarly to one of the Morris twins. Dorsey projects to a Gary Neal. Hopefully his ball handling is more advanced. And why haven't they signed Motley to a deal yet. That's a no brainer considering no real talent at center on the roster.
  8. I think if Sap feels indebted to the team it can be done. He took two very short term deals to get to this point in his career to get one last humongous cash out. He deserve it and it can make sense for all 3 parties. Denver has some pieces to work with. Sure they could sign him outright but they could fit in another free agent instead of just Sap. They could get rid of some dead contracts like Chandler or Faried.
  9. Was going to say, what's the point of keeping Schröder. Assuming that Sap and Hardaway leaving, this is a bottom 5 talent base. Dennis is already shoot first with all vets around, he's calling his number with the younger team out there. With all his top assistants being poached, I question if Bud can still develop these players at a high level.
  10. Good trade for both teams. Lakers had to get rid of one Mozgov or Deng. They'll get George and possibly another free agent for 2018.
  11. I'm going to make this a "man cave event" this Thursday. Last year, not so much. The drafts coming up are the best way for this team to acquire an all star/franchise player. They have to continue to draft well and develop the players like they've been doing. Grouping together a Schröder, Prince, and a well developed future pick could net you a cornerstone player. Draft and develop young assets, group them together for something bigger would be my plan as it stands.
  12. Sap is in a situation to secure the biggest bag of money he'll ever see in life. To Orlando it is.
  13. A few more sleepers for pick 60/undrafted free agents to look out for. Peter Jok ISU: one of the better shooters in the draft. Antonio Blakeney LSU: sports a 45” max vertical. Avg. 17 and 5 with 36% on 3s. Chris Boucher ORE: 7’4” wingspan and 9’2” standing reach. Good shot blocker and finisher. Eric Mika BYU: 6’10” avg. 20.5 pts and 9 rbs in 28.5 minutes. Michael Young PITT: avg. 19.5 pts and 7 rbs. Jamel Artis PITT: avg. 18 pts and 5 rbs. 39% 3 pointers. Made Mitchell look silly on a few plays.
  14. I like Jackson, he's the high floor, lower ceiling player that fits the Hawks narrative. I doubt he lasts to 19 though. Swanigan not so much. He reminds me too much of Al Jefferson. I doubt his ability to move onto the perimeter much less switch on the Kyrie's and Wall's of the East. Give me at 19: Patton/Allen and 30: Evans/Lydon.
  15. Kuzma is a target for pick 31 if not 19. The latter two are for consideration for pick 60 if not undrafted free agents.
  16. Many fans don't get excited about the last pick as they shouldn't. This year is alittle different. I’m intrigued by the depth of this draft. I believe 3-5 players will go undrafted and make final rosters by the start of the season. Knowing the HAWKS, they could sell it depending who falls to pick 60. My list for the pick. Tier 1 Group: Sterling Brown - 6-6 Shot 44.5 from 3 this season and 53.6 last season. Brother of Shannon Brown. Chicago area player. Devin Robinson – 6-8 Shot 39 percent from 3. Impressive 35.5 inch no step vert. 7”1 wingspan with 8-10 reach. Damyean Dotson – 6-5 Avg. 17.5 points with 7 rebounds. Shot 44.5 from 3 in 7.5 attempts. Solid length and jumping ability. Kennedy Meeks – 6-10 Big dude, 275 pounds. Avg. 12.5 ppg and 9.5 rbs in 24.5 minutes per game. Tier 2 Group: Luke Kornet – 7-0 Good shot blocker. 1st team SEC. Shot 85.5 from the free throw. Charles Cooke – 6-4 Good length 6-11 wingspan and 8-7 standing reach. Shot 40 percent from 3 the past two seasons. Avg. 1 blocked shot per game. Andrew White III – 6-7 Avg. 18.5 points. 40.5 from 3 and 41 percent last season. Players with some intrigue: Marcus Keene – Avg. 30 ppg. Basically this years Kahlil Fedler. Austin Nichols – 6-9 7-2 wingspan and 9-0 standing reach back in 2012. Essentially sat out two seasons because of transferring and being kicked off UVA. Avg. 3.5 blocks his last full season. Kadeem Allen – 6-2 6-9 wingspan with good aa(athletic ability). Supposedly one of the top defenders in the country. 24.5 years old. Shot 42.5 from 3. Probably needs to be in tier 2. James Wiley – 6-7 7-0 wingspan and 8-8 reach. Big time 37.5 standing vert. Small school player: avg. 21 ppg, 9 rbs, 3 blk, and shot 82.5 from the free throw. There she blows. Most should be available, some will not. I’m sure there will be internationals worth selecting too with the last pick.
  17. I am, it's entertaining to me. Korver looks painfully outta place there. That 2019 pick could look very good in a couple of years. They are not talented enough to hang with GS as constructed and they may take a chance on a Love trade down the line that everyone would love to backfire on them.
  18. I'm digging on PASECNIKS right now. The Spurs have zeroed in him it seems.
  19. Like another posted has said, Bembry is nearly the same player from height, length, and skill set. Both can't shoot and Bembry may be the better 3 shooter which is a bright red flag. It'll be so many viable options at 31 that Dozier shouldn't really be in the picture, imo.
  20. "Our" would be Millsap and Horford. They got value/Prince for Teague which most would agree was a good move. They had their chance to get something at their peak value but would rather max these two out.
  21. Gotcha. I feel when Ferry is brought up, he's some kind of super GM. He got the team out of the Joe nightmare which was key. Brought in Sap and DMC. But to get this franchise in a greater direction, he would have had to sell high on our KG, Pierce, and Allen which I don't believe he would have done. I'm curious how he will perform with his next GM job.
  22. That's not true tho. Ferry was mediocre at best in the draft. He made some nice trades. But he got lucky with the Joe trade. Billy King is the worst GM ever, across all multiverses. I wonder how GMs like King and Knight are able to get in these positions. Nepotism and networking I would assume.
  23. To properly tank you have to trade all your all stars, no one is going to do that. It's all about drafting optimally, making savvy trades, and signing quality free agents. Basically the GS model. If you totally tank, you will have to solely rely on the draft to improve with limited trade and free agent options. I envision a Cavs like tank for the Hawks only to not have a Lebron join the quality of picks of Anthony Bennett, Waiters, Wiggins, etc.
  24. Is this Lurk an alternate, the same negative narrative is annoying.
  25. The AI signing was huge for them. That took them from "Atlanta Hawks Bud Era" to real contenders. Barnes was another good pick and a good defender they could throw at Lebron. Livingston was another outstanding acquisition. He was basically Matt Barnes bouncing from team to team and they turned him to a top flight 6th man.
