  1. If you have top pick, you shouldn't be bad enough to draft the 1st pick in the next draft. Make it top 3 for all I care. It allows the next team drafting a chance at greatness instead of the same bottom feeding organizations. This should help create disparity the league really needs. You should still have the top odds for picks 4 and 5 though.
  2. That site just have the wrong people narrating it. Kris Willis was horrible. I see no reason Bud doesn't give Collins good pt this season. The four spot is void of talent and depth. These old NBA guys way of developing the rooks is for them "to pay their dues". Just like Teague not getting a real chance until the Bulls series which he never gets if not for an injury.
  3. They get the Nets pick which should be top 5, top 7 at worst. Crowder is a solid starter. I don't think the market for IT will be that hot and he will resign with the Cavs.
  4. He won't fully progress unless he improves his body strength and size. You could say that about any player but it very much so applies to Dennis.
  5. Mike Scott has found a new area to peruse in. I know some neighborhood legends that'll give these dudes all they could handle. For every Lou Williams, Josh Smith, etc. that made it, plenty more that fell through the cracks.
  6. Wow, MC has returned. They should have never taken him off coverage anyhow.
  7. KI is not worth it right now. It made sense with Dwight, Millsap, THJ, along with Prince and Bembry coming on. DS has to get bigger and stronger to realize his truer potential. The Iverson physique isn't doing him any favors. Once you see him at the 185-190 range is where you will see him move up a tier.
  8. Cavs aren't losing Kyrie for nothing, they will get sufficient assets. As it stands: the Celts, Raptors, Wizs, and 76ers are the obstacle teams for the Hawks in the future. Raps and Wiz will slowly decline. The team is in good/great position: likely picks in the mid tens, mid teens, and mid 20s. Once they figure a way to rid themselves of Baze and/or Plumlee, this team will have way more money, draft assets, current young developing assets to improve immensely. The Braves and Hawks have similar assets to their build. The Braves are really close to getting elite, hopefully the Hawks can get close too.
  9. Cavs, Wizs, Celts, Raps, Bucks, and Bobs are locks. Pistons, Heat, and 76ers rounds out the rest. Hawks, Nets, and Pacers are the next tier. The most competition for lotto balls are Bulls, Knicks, and Magic. Out West, it's Mavs, Suns, and Kings. 6-7 teams that will out tank the Hawks... Hopefully the Hawks will be big sellers at the deadline and let the young guns finish out the season.
  10. I would love Jackson or Ennis, whomever is the better defender which I think is the former.
  11. Won't go all tank or bust but this team is in prime position to get a top 5 pick. You add a Doncic or Ayton to the roster along with the mid and late 1st picks. In 2018, only 76 million committed with the 3 first rounders and the high 2nd included. Of course, Muscala and/or Dedmon could opt out freeing more money. Add the latest 2018 1st and 2nd round picks to Bazemore for trade which should net some positive assets and more cap space.
  12. Dorsey will never be a point guard. He doesn't have a good enough handle or foot speed. Let's just hope he can make more than a third of 3s this season.
  13. The team needs a point guard more than Simmons. I'd give Tyler Ennis or Ian Clark a look.
  14. Disheartened by the loss in a tournament setting. But JC may be special. Dude is young as the Balls and Fox's in the draft. His potential fits along those two age wise with two years of ACC polish. Can't let yall take a shot JS like that. He had the Spirit group or Mcdavid structure in place that hired Woodson. I think Time Warner actually hired him but he didn't have the best structure. But back to the future is Collins, Prince, Bembry, and Dennis. This quartet may possibly have more potential than the BK teams. I want all the young guys productive but tank just enough for a top 4 pick. Without any doubt there's a good 3 teams that will have a poorer record, if not more.
  15. Good showing for the young core except for Prince. We are not going to out tank Chicago. They are shitty top to bottom.
  16. He turned down 5 for 80. Maybe he just wanted near max in order to stay in Detroit. He is a very nice player. Players that put that much effort on defense usually don't have much energy to give on offense, THJ seems the opposite of this.
  17. This win was more satisfying than most of last season. Dorsey just has average intangibles for the NBA. Hopefully he can find his touch. Looks decent enough finishing in the paint. I would have looked at Dotson, Thornwell, and then Sterling Brown before him. Bembry has it all except a jumper, Collins just needs playing time and he will develop well. I'd have to see them do it against NBA players, but what flashes of brilliance. Prince looked pretty solid. Alpha and Stone have their moments, not sure what they can offer in the future tho. Hopefully, you can add a Doncic with this group next year.
  18. Outside the top 3 players on this SL roster, the rest are trash. Once Collins develops his mid range game, he'll be an all star caliber player. His free throws look fluid, just a matter confidence. Bembry has all the tools to be the teams future 2 guard. I love everything about his game except his jump shot. The problem I see so far is it's all elbow with no snap from the wrist. He probably has zero touch upon release from his fingers.
  19. Bring KCP home. Nobody on Detroit is excelling or progressing as a player. He will do well under Bud.

    GOODBYE THJ!

Congrats on Tim securing 71 million in the clutch. He needs to give about 5 to his agent cause he put in some work for that offer.
  21. The narrative of competing at all cost doesn't fit with the Hawks timeline right now. This roster of young guys under direct financial control consists of: Bembry - 23 Collins - 19 Hardaway - 25 Dorsey - 21 Prince - 23 Dennis - 23 Stone - 20 Gazemore and Plumlee are contracts Schlenk has to sit on until something presents itself. He needs flexibility for the 2018 and 2019 offseason.
  22. There is good news and bad news for 2018 free agency. The team will have loads of money, but the crop of free agents is pretty shitty. The most realistic option for center is Favors. He and Collins I wouldn't say are the best combo, but it's decent going forward. The draft will also provide good options, much better than this previous one. Honestly screw competing for the 2017-18 season, it's all about developing guys who you think are going to be the core members.
  23. So 4yr 106 million is his max? I mean the Mavs have one of the worst talent bases so I'm fairly sure they can't let him go. It's a waste of time getting involved, imo.
  24. We would start Crowder and flip his ass like a shiny quarter during the deadline. Boston wants future assets and immediate relief. I'd easily part with the Houston pick even though that pick could potentially be in the lotto. Crowder will net the team a much better package.
  25. I think Tim will be a Hawk next season. He'll only sign a 1-2 year deal tho and give it a go next season as unrestricted. Schlenk has to know he'll make a good trade chip down the line, considering talent at 2 guard is still low in the league.
