Why is KCP even being discussed? I thought the Hawks had no money to sign anyone? Or is it that they are 20ish million away from the cap of 99 million? Hard to understand it anymore. Anyway for the record I would welcome KCP and think he fits what the Hawks think they want. A young player with room to grow and he already has a solid base. I would toss the same contract that Timmy got from the Knicks at KCP if in fact the Hawks have money.

Len for some toughness and defense upfront. Willie Reed and Ian Clark. Nobody excites me on that list, but these three guys would be a good addition. Ideally one of Len/Reed and Clark for some offensive prowess of the bench.

Oh wait I am wrong. They did acquire Bellinelli and Plumplee. So one semi decent NBA player has been added to the mix.

I think players would gladly take less to play for a legit team or ride on the coat tails of a super team in the making than suit up for this dumpster fire. I understand a roster examination was completely necessary and changes had to happen, but to not even add a single NBA player this off season is downright sad.

Chances are they won't meet minimum salary. It's basically 10 million less than the cap so roughly 89 million needs to be spent on player salaries. Regardless of if they don't spend 89 million or not they will actually spend the minimum. Whatever the amount they are short by is distributed amongst the players they have on the roster.
