exodus
I had a strange feeling watching the Hawks get down big early. Watching the Pistons getting all excited I was thinking that their lead wouldn't last long. I just felt there was no way the Pistons would run and hide from the Hawks. Not that long ago I would have been thinking "here we go again".
Hoosier
They turned it around when Chilldress and Williams came in, because of the energy that they brought on both ends. One thing unusual though, Al was still on the floor.
exodus
The break may have done Al some good. JJ is going to have to get in gear for the Hawks to have a chance to win.
exodus
Zaza has been garbage tonight so why hasn't Batman gotten in? He isn't as much of a clutz as Zaza although he does pick up quick fouls. I can't help but cringe when Zaza gets the ball.
Plainview1981
It looks like Detriot is actually trying tonight and is fresh. We see the results.
exodus
It wasn't that. Hawks had their chances but JJ's shot was off and Zaza was just a joke.
HawksFan87
all of the young guns had great games SMOOVE- 10 pts, 15 rebounds, 7 blocks, 5 assists- now those are PF numbers CHILL- 18 and 6 MARVIN- 13 points
Nicholasp27
man, he was so close to a triple double heck, 5 more assists with the 3 more blocks and it woulda been a quad-double!
Gray Mule
Extreme pressure on defense by the Pistons, not all the time, but for short periods, causing multiple turnovers which resulted in several extra baskets. Cold shooting from JJ. Sure, they defended him well, but he missed shots we've watched him hit, over and over again. Pistons are a mature team, very good, and have played together for a long time. Hawks are the youngest, least experienced team in the NBA. Then, the Pistons were at home. They had lost to this Hawks team the last meeting. They knew that they had to be on top of their game. Great game, even in defeat, this Hawk team showed that they won't quit. GO HAWKS !!!!

exodus
The Hawks are lacking a pg so the Pistons put a lot of pressure on them. Pretty simple move, and effective.
Premium Member Diesel Posted February 22, 2006 Premium Member Report Share Posted February 22, 2006 I know it's a strange question, but I think that the game was played very physically. Zaza had flopped previously with no love from the refs.. When he went down the second time, I thought.. It was a flop.. Then he stayed down. I was wondering.. Was he faking to get the refs to notice him and feel bad?? or did he really get hit that hard?? I hate to think he was faking, but it was needed because allstar power with the refs were on display last night.
Premium Member Diesel Posted February 22, 2006 Premium Member Report Share Posted February 22, 2006 It may be that Childress is our comeback kid. It seems like everytime he got into the game, we rallied.. And really it has been that way for a few weeks. I noticed last night, he's a much better ball handler than you would think... He's getting comfortable there.
TheDude
could we possibly have a 2nd half rebound like last year from Childress?
Johnnybravo4
Billy Knight should have gone small and kept Zaza out of the game. The quick athletic Pistons are a difficult matchup for him.

Gray Mule
Wasn't that long of a swing, but it was solid lick, right to the throat. Whap! Probably hurt really bad for a few minutes, but he recovered. Where the lick landed and how solid it was made the difference. Try this. Take your hand and apply a little pressure just under your "Adam's Apple" and you can tell that, even a reletively light blow there would be painful. Moderators macdaddy Posted February 22, 2006 Moderators Report Share Posted February 22, 2006 Could Chill be a point-forward? I never thought so and I've been one of the ones thinking Ivey should get more time, but really how much different is it having Chill bring it up vs. Ivey.
Lascar78
to me a point forward is a guy who is a forward, but is the main distributor on offense. Chill isn't that guy. But I do feel just about equally comfortable with Ivey, JJ, or Chill bringing the ball up. That's probably the best part of the BK philosophy. I feel a little less comfortable with Salim (as of today) and Al. I cover my eyes if it's Zaza or Smoove.
