Admin chillzatl Posted February 24, 2006 Admin Report Share Posted February 24, 2006 I've been trying to say the same things and getting pounded for it. people seem to think that we need to "get something" for Al or it is a complete failure. I would rather just get our cap space back than have to take on a bunchy of guaranteed rookie contracts that don't help us or take on some overpriced players who don't fit our build. Good to hear someone speak the gospel!
exodus
If they were going to get something good for Al before the deadline it would have been in a deal with Artest. Once Artest was traded I suspect the offers were pretty lame.
KB21
Even then, I don't think the Hawks were being offered what they should be offered in return for Al Harrington. The Hawks were wise to not take on Ron Artest. He would have been a very bad influence on the young guys. However, I think they were also wise to not take on what was being offered in the potential three way deals.
TheArtist
Yeah all that defense and intensity would be a real bad influence on the young folk.
