I'm excited about the Hawks but I'm also curious about Oden and Rudy Fernandez.

That team is obscenely loaded with young talent at every single position.

Friday night. High School Football.

Guess I'll have to review this game thread when I get home tonight and see what all

you guys and gals thought of the Hawks game.

Maybe some of the players "Down on the end of the bench" will get to strut their stuff

tonight. Starters haven't really looked great, maybe a little rusty? Second team sure

have played great. Time for that third string to play some before time runs out on them

and they get the axe. Hopefully, everyone is healthy.

Reading the rumors, etc. on other NBA teams, seems that a lot of them are having

problems with injuries, rosters not settled and many still wanting to trade for that

one, or perhaps two players that they feel they need. Meanwhile, the Hawks roll

merrily along. Their biggest question, "Who will survive the final cut."

Indeed. The front office has done a WONDERFUL job with that team. The future is bright for Portland, but I think we have the guys to take them. We're not quite as long, but we are a little more athletic and we have a nice combo of young guys and vets. I know it's only preseason, but I'd love to watch this matchup on NBATV tonight.
