Just seems a little silly to think that Woody doesn’t know this. Poor man had to have known. There's only so much a coach can do. Woody can coach defense but if the Hawks don't have the players to execute it then what? We need a big man that plays big and a more athletic guard off the bench to play the Nets. That's it....nothing more.

Smoove is part of the answer and can health cover and with rotations. There is still work to be done, but he is the center piece fo our defense that helps everyone.

Joe dropped 30 on Vince both games so he still won that battle. Bibby was severely outplayed by Harris and that was the difference. If you cant guard your man punish him on the other end. Joe did that Bibby didnt't

I think it's more of a case that Harris is a special player. He knows how to draw fouls. When he plays, they win. Without Smoove, our frontline is susceptible to foul trouble. When Zaza is gone it's worse. That's why it looked like Horf had his hands in pocket.

Bibby can't guard quick guards. Bibby is overmatched athleticly by guys like Harris or Rondo. We saw that in the playoffs last year.

its not so much Bibbys defense..Devin Harris can do that to almost any team in the league..he picked apart Detriots defense too..he's a special player with great quickness. Josh Smith and his blocking abilites would of helped out a little bit tho too so im not too worried yet.

And as for Vince..he has those nights too when he just doesnt miss much..he is a unique player himself and it seems like he always plays well against the Hawks. Joe Johnson held his own against him tho..was a good matchup to watch

True, but he still has to make them pay on the other end. For his defensive deficiencies, Bibby can give us so much more on the offensive end when he's on his game. But Bibby versus Harris is a TERRIBLE matchup for us any way you slice it, especially when you don't have Smoove blocking anything coming to the basket.

he's still a balla..cant get up like he use to but his overall game probably better than it ever was. Vince vs Joe Johnson was a good matchup to see...wish we would of at least won 1 game tho
